Financially only Chiesa makes sense, but on max 10m gross, and with termination clauses or wage reduction clauses in case of long-term injuries

But, have to be said, his injury record is not as bad as people make it out to be.
Always had brief injuries (days to week, max 2 weeks), apart from the big cruciate ligament one that kept him out from Jan. to Nov. 2022

Van Dijk had similar injury and lost a whole season from Oct to summer (20/21), but never had injuries either before or after.
This is not an injury prone player. Injury prone players have MUSCLE injuries every few months that keep them out for a few months

I would not bother with paying anything for winger.

I would get someone on loan.

Paying 10mil and then be stuck with deadweight is just Barca thing of work.

Why just not get him on loan and then decide after season? No lose for us, and Juve will get him off the paycheck. Good deal for both.

Apparently Deco said to a fan today about nico " he didn't want to come" . Deco also said they are going to sign someone else.

Cannot take his words for face value, this agent of the terrorist regime managing barcelona.

Candidly, only deluded fans had hopes he was coming.

Someone who just signed a new contract, in a settled club and city where hisfamily remain forever grateful for welcoming them when they were about being sent back to Africa, just to leave all that because a certain club that is deemed most "chaotic" and rudderless currently is asking you to come.

A club that is not able to pay his release clause but rather was looking to negotiating it, that may not even be able to register him if he agreed comes is not a club for any young budding talent to hop into without a deep reflection now.

To worsen it, he never indicated he wanted to leave, all the noise and speculation were mostly from Barca Board and their fans, especially those ones who think that his closeness with Yamal as seen on a few social media pictures indicated he wanted to come to Barca.....same set of people hallucinating over " with Yamal on the right and Nico on the left, Barca will thump everyone else"

On the part of the club, it showd clearly the club is being ran by idiots. Only a mediocre set up would have put all their transfer hopes on a player that had never for once indicated he wanted to leave his comfort zone. A well managed club would have had 2 or 3 viable alternatives and go for them when the signs were becoming obvious he was not interested in coming to Barca. Based on reports, all attempts from June to early August for Barca to reach his agent or him were not successful. That was a clear sign that he was not interested in coming.

Some here have mentioned that he might want to come next season and Barca can wait....balderdash! He is not a generational player and only a vision less club would waste another 1 year trying to lure him rather than extend their scouting to search for players that can give what he is giving at a lower price, and more importantly, are willing to come to Barca. It is an easy guess for the route this mofo board will toe. Another year of waste and directionless squad planning incoming.

Hoping on him for another year is the zenith height of imbecility, it won't be surprising if it occurs given the type of board sitting in Catalonia now.
