Oliver Torres

I think the best part about him is that he has the ability to use both feet and is willing to use both regularly. You don't see many players who are comfortable with both feet, I miss players like Ronaldo who could dribble flawlessly with both feet.

leave the kid at atletico and let them build something, jeez

Not that I disagree with you, but I feel that Óliver would be wasted at Simeone's Atletico. He will have to play on the wings, like Koke and he seems to be a real CM; playing deep in midfield.

Should have got a first option or something on him when we sold them Villa for peanuts.

Long term Xavi replacement.

O.Torres is one of my favourite prospects.

He's been playing in the ,,Xavi role'' many times. He is great there also because of his vision and passing skills. He's definitely an more defensive player than Rafa, Denis and Alen

Oli is Iniesta type of player. For that we already have Rafinha, Suarez and Halilovic.

Why does everybody say this. Nobody, apart form say Pirlo, is so cool and calm on the ball as Xavi.

Passes are made to look ridiculously easy and basic, due to the natural and perfectly timed passes Xavi creates.

The weight of the ball is almost flawless 99% of the time. That's why I see Oliver Torres being more like Xavi than Iniesta.

Torres usually looks up, and plays a pass soon after receiving the ball. Vision and Calmness. Like Xavi.

Iniesta is a great passer, but I see his style as more "run run, through ball, twist, turn, long pass" It's just a huge variety of passes.

Rafa brings in much more agresion and pace. I would say Rafa can contribute more to our defense. One of the reason why Cholo loaned him out is because his poor of-ball movement. He has to improve that. Otherwise I agree, he can become an awesome player.

Watch the clip vs Betis again and tell me what you see. Oli may have all the qualities to become a "Xavi-like" playmaker someday, but when I watch him, I see someone who likes to run with do ball, someone who likes to take on players and dribble past them and someone who likes to try out risky passes.
