BBZ just straight up hates the guy. He just want's to be right and rub it in so of course he jumps on every opportunity to troll the forum.

That's because this forum has been filled with people who have such an extreme bias against Valverde that they've spent the last 2.5 years spewing the dumbest shit ever. If those users had just said that Valverde was an average coach who shouldn't be at Barca, then there would be no reason for BBZ or others to gloat about being proved right. Instead, Valverde was like the secret bogeyman who was blamed for every problem with any player or with the team. Now that he's gone and a lot of those claims are proving ridiculous, it's only fair for BBZ et others to let those chickens come home to roost.

For example, just a few days ago in this thread, there were a bunch of people convinced that Dembele would be reborn under Setien because Qatari medics figured out that Valverde and his staff were responsible for Dembele's injuries.

The best thing about Valverde gone is that we no longer have to read stuff like that. Some even went as far as saying Dembeles poor first touch is due to Valverde not teaching him. what a farce

Now people will finally (if they have not already) realise that the level of the squad is subpar. probably the worst I have ever seen and i have been following the club for a long time

But aside form injuries Valverde just wasn't a good coach for developing players, i don't even know how someone could deny that. So thinking that a better coach could get more out of an undeniably talented young player isn't exactly a far fetched statement...in a world where he isn't permanently injured of course.

My problem with these posts is:
1. While EV obviously wasn't that good
2. And while better coaches would have obviously improved some players like Frenkie
3. The problem is that some players are just bad and can't improve at all or can't improve too much

We bought the crappiest bunch of players since 2000 in Dembele, Malcom, Denis, Gomes or even Semedo, Arthur, Firpo and co.
And then people blamed EV for their lack of development even though a time will tell that almost every single of these players will be sold and end in midtable clubs in 2 years, not because of an evil EV but because of a horrible sporting directors who are either buying average players, a horrible misfits or overhyped Youtube/Instagram new gen players.

So, when someone mocks EV for Rome, fine.
Even it is questionable how many KO matches we will win in the next 2-3 years at all.
But when someone mocks EV for not playing these bums, you just have to make some fun out of them.

This guy Devils who is now crying for bans and similar, was for years quotting me in every sungle post, together with Cule4life, whever an evil EV didn't put Arthur, Alena, Dembele and Malcom in a team.

Lol, a magical quartet.
Till 2022, probably none of them will be in a team.

So, this is where my sarcasm is coming from.
EV was guilty for a lot of things, but he is not guilty for our young signings being a total shit.

It's true the signings have been terrible. The board haven't had a successful signing since Suarez and Mats. By successful I mean solidified a starting xi place and performed well/won trophies before everyone screams Frenkie. Maybe you could say Lenglet, but we ALL know he was supposed to be the 3rd cb and that he's not elite enough to be starting week in week out and has been found out numerous times. Maybe I'm missing a name but that says it all really, since 2014 there's probably 2 players you could argue have made Barcelona better.

I just checked, last time he had a surgery of his left thigh and now it's the right one. At least it's not the same again, maybe this will solve his issues with hamstrings once and for all or at least we can hope for that.

hope is what kills you.

If for some miraculous reason he does comes back and plays well without re-injury then he should accept a lower (new) contract and try to prove himself once more here since really he wont be worth much after yet another injury. It could potentially be a win win for both him and club. In reality though i think both parties will be keen to go their separate ways if there's remotely any solid interest from anywhere else.

The team has supported Dembele a lot in my opinion and no one would judge them if he was sold.
Apart from his talent or non-talent which can be debated forever, he has really bad injury issues which don't seem to be going anywhere.

Of course not every player can be turned into a world beater, that's why even Klopp had to stop signing average BuLi players and instad had to buy the most expensive CB and GK to win titles.

But outside of specific examples i really don't see why Valverde would be particularly good in improving individual players or finding a specific role for them. No matter what one thinks about Valverde in general but that definitely wasn't his strong point, maybe it's just me but i think that's just clear as day. He didn't bother, partly because he didn't have to when he could just field Messi-Suarez to win most league games but also because i think he simply lacks the skills or the drive to work on every small detail like Pep does for example (who's obsession with certain things leads to his own problems).

Now back to Dembele, would another coach make a consistent world class player worth his 130M pricetag out of him? Maybe. Maybe not. But i would've liked to at least see someone try. Players aren't just smart or dumb, good or shit - there is always a lot in between to work on and i would've liked to see a another (better in that regard) coach give it a try. Dembele had one coach so far at Barca so i'd say that's fair.

But given his injury problems that isn't even our main concern now as he's constantly cycling between being out and having to adapt.

Edit: Also for the trolling, you could just not jump in on that. If we all could do that the forum would be much better.

This, I'm just a spectator here for months reading and laughing on how almost everything negative will lead to Valverde. Valverde the usual suspect, if nCOV started in Barcelona they will most likely blame him too 😂
The Dembele part is kinda funny and sad. The possibility that he's injured again because of Setien and his intense training. The Irony

Jesus - I only saw this now.

What an incredibly poor decision this transfer/and Coutinho was post-Neyboy.

The average person will obviously look at this club since 2015 and say, ''they just got worse and worse and didn't win anything,'' but the amount of off the field BAD decisions we've made over the last 5 years must be up in the 50s/100s which have led us to where we are now.

In terms of Dembele, it's tough to feel sorry for anybody who gets paid the ridiculous salaries these fuckers earn but it's going to have a crippling effect in terms of rotation for our forward line until the end of this season.

CL Exit to Napoli seems possible.
