Ousmane Demb?l? didn't train today as he has minor discomfort in his calf. It's not serious and he could be available for Saturday's game against Osasuna. [as]

Why? Ok Dembouz I get but Messi? He'll get plenty of rest in the midweek. Walking and watching defense collapse is not that tiresome.

Ousmane Demb?l? has turned around his Barcelona career thanks to a diet of red fruits, vegetables and an improved attitude. To improve his chances of breaking into Koeman's plans, Demb?l? contracted a French chef who's specialised in nutrition for elite athletes. [espn]

The importance of red fruits is huge it seems!
A player that missed 512 days in total the past 3 seasons through multiple injuries, has missed only 22 days this season...

If I were Dembele I would sue the hell out of Valverde and his staff.

It's clear now how Ernie's 'no physical preparation' damaged poor Dembouz's fringe muscular system resulting in horrible injuries

Messi stopped getting injured when he got a nutritionist as well, didn't he?

Wasn't his issue of vomiting during games the main reason of getting a nutritionist? One cannot stress enough how important nutrition is for your body. In fitness they say 30% of your body is training, 70% is nutrition. Bad food makes your body weak and injuries become much more likely.

Ernesto "I don't believe eating food is important" Valverde.

Yes, and a special diet based on fish instead of red meat.
But, it's more than that in Dembele's case: lack of physical preparation.

A more mediterranian diet is what Messi ate in his peak years with an emphasis on plant foods. In reality no athletic career person should be basing their diet on red meat or cow dairy period.

fast food Burgers, pizzas, processed foods need to go the way of the Dodo. There are plenty of alternatives these days
