One of my friends is a professional footballer (cf/winger) and he played in the 1st division of my country.

He used to play football with us and yelled on us when someone would miss sitters in 5 vs 5.

He would say: when you are 1 vs 1 vs a keeper, do WHATEVER you want, just don't shoot straight at him.
Aim at corners, or even miss the target for 5 meters, at least you have tried.
But please, don't ever shoot straight into a keeper.
That's the dumbest thing which you can do in that situation.

I mean, every footballer in any crappy 1st or 2nd division knows these basics of football.

Yet, then we have Dumbele who's every shot goes straight into a goalkeeper.

Even his goal (was it against Seville in La Liga?) was a similar crappy 1 vs 1 shoot straight into a gk which luckily ended as a nutmeg goal.

He sucks at football basics.
Yet, we had a sporting director who followed him for 1 year and said: he is the man. Pay 145m for him.

When you are in one on one situation vs GK, a goal is expectes. It is a basic thing.

Those 2 are completely useless. This guy at least have some speed. Coutinho needs 3 years to make adecision and Griezmann... Is a passenger most of the time.

I would try lower his wages and keep him as an option for the wings or next to a scorer as a part of front 2
