those two were complete panic buys to replace the star power we lost from neymar's departure.

wasn't even subtle with Coutinho, they literally just went for "short Brazilian with flair" and hoped he'd replace Neymar's presence in the team.

To be honest, there were Coutinho rumors even before Neymar leaving. Dembele was the Neymar replacement.

Coutinho was supposed to replace Iniesta.

Funny thing is that the Coutinho rumors started after we failed to sign Verratti.

Two completely different type of midfielders. Giving the last board any money was akin to giving a monkey a AK-47.

Why would he ditch us ? The club spent a huge sum for him plus we never gave up on him even with all the injuries. After all that shit now he's playing games with his agent. Thats messed up.

He thinks too much of himself , like he is a top superstar or some shit while in reality he's just a speed merchant with a small taste of xfactor here and there.

After 1 year with us ( iirc ) with him being injured all the time and all the unprofessional rumours around him that he's eating junk food all the time , which could be fake or not , Arsenal made a 100 mil offer to us for him . They would have given us 10 mil in that transfer period and another 90 mil in the next one.

I remember him being at a friend's house who was streaming on twitch and appearing on his stream , someone asked about the Arsenal rumours and he acted all arrogant , like how could he even play at a club like Arsenal and laughing and shit.

Also you don't remember how his relationship with Dortmund was when we wanted to buy him ? Dude didn't respond to their calls , didn't go to the club and such . Wouldn't be shoked if he was to pull something like that against us . Luckily Barcelona is not some trash cuck club so the fans would be very toxic towards him if he ever did that shit. But it looks like Juventus wants to get him on a free transfer next year so who knows.

If we managed to sell Malcom for +40 mil , not to mention Yerry Mina also for a decent fee , I don't have doubts that we can sell him for +60 mil. Actually I wouldn't be shocked if the sum would be as high as 80 mil. Dude is a WC winner , has the allure of having played for a few years at Barca , is still rather young , is fast as fuck and has some nice dribbles and goals on youtube. Someone could still take the bait with him and splash some cash.

We can talk about him if he reached our expectations when it comes to his potential only because in relation to the money spent on him , it was one of the biggest money wasted of any club ever. Seeing him on youtube only , I was rather impressed but he failed reaching any expectations I had for him.

He's into his 4th year at the club and has 29 goals in 113 games . To put in perspective Neymar had for us 31 goals in one season alone ( 2015/16 ) or Suarez had 40 goals in La Liga only in the same season.

He'll close his eyes and shoot from outside of the box and put it in once every 20th shot but when it will matter most , he'll be fucking trash.

- his dumb decision vs Rome to shoot it from 40 meters away and miss with the keeper out rather than passing it to Suarez who was in a much better position

- his miss at the end of the game vs Liverpool

- his miss home vs PSG and around 5-6 big chances missed in the returning leg

I was supportive of him for 3 years , it's time to go cause he's not Barca material. This year is his most ,,professional" year and I think it's because he wants a renewal and a bigger salary. If we give that to him , he'll go back to being injured and unprofessional.

This is his 4th year and instead of showing improvements in football iq and finishing , he sits at 5 goals in La liga in fucking May .

I don't know how much we'll end up paying for him but paying +120 mil for a guy who scored the winner in a supercup , had a great goal vs Tottenham , scored a nice goal in the cup vs Sevilla and a goal in the 90 minute this season in La Liga to bring us 3 points compared to the disaster games he had in the CL , is utter terrible business.

I just hope that someone will throw huge money for him and we sell him , I don't want him anymore here.

To be honest, 50 mil is what i think the most Barca can get from him. An injury prone, several mediocre performances, still young. Youtube probably will not help because his weak performances are half of his youtube contents.

The sub for Griezmann was the right choice by Koeman. I fully see the logic why Dembele would be more useful than Griezy in the type of game we had against Villarreal in the second half.

But man, the performance of Dembele was atrocious. His pass to Frenkie is the only good thing he did. His runs were off, his pressing was off. Basically the two thing we'd want him to contribute with.

Yeah, everybody wanted Dembele in in the match chat...
As I've said a couple of times, Dembele is even slightly worse with more space. His pretty much only vice now is that he is as unpredictable to the opponents as he is to the team mates. He can create something out of nothing sometimes, but can't be expected to do anything well regularly.

I always expect him to lose the ball in the final third. It?s embarrassing at his level. I hope he leaves this summer as he is nowhere near good enough. His position should be contributing with at least 20 goals each season. What is he at now? 5 in all Liga?

I expected way more when we bought him, i thought in 3-4 years this man will be top3 winger in the world. The chapter is over guys, we need to close it and move.

True. I don't see how he would become top class now. He just lacks the basics of being a top player.

Ball control, pressing, lack of fight spirit/will to win the ball, smart movement and sloppy play in general will always keep him mediocre. Tough to see those things change.

Its the same things in which he had already 3years ago his problems and since then he barely improved them.

Again, I couldnt care less about Dembele, but getting offensive replacements and reinforcements (!) will be damn hard. Thankfully defense and midfield are mostly okay, could be much worse.
