Well, considering how frequently he is injured, he's got so so record. Better then hazard actually. No, im not talking that he is close to assisting and scoring like neyboy, but considering the managers we had he didnt have any particular role. When he's fit a lot of our players were searching for him because as dumb as he looks he always seems that he can cook something out of nowhere. My point is that HE CAN, but his iq and lack of work ethics dont allow him to be consistent and fulfill the full potential, and thats the difference between every single player in the last 20 years and messi and cr7.

Ney is dumb too- he got two world class seasons, and his iq didnt allowed him to fullfill the full potential, because he's lazy and unprofessional, unlike messi/cr7

Hazard is an idiot too - unprofessional and fat unlike messi/cr7

Reus - unlucky but is he?

Bale - he just does not give a fuck, unlike all of them above clutch and big game player, when he's in it he's world class, but motivation and surroundings seems that is slowing him down

Vini jr - dembele bracket at most, for me not even close to our black prince

Salah - everything in place, work ethics at messi/cr7 level but he lacks iq and talent in general to reach the highest level

Mane - same as salah

Coincidence or not, more consistent and professional are players that had/have quality managers in their peak or in forming years

Messi - guardiola
Cr7 - saf
Mane
Salah - klopp

Dembouz - ev
Bale is unlucky because zidane didnt liked him, but he delivered when it mattered and saved his ass on lot of ocassions.

Son - wild card, shame that he rots in tottenham pochet

Martial - a bum under ogs

With messi gone we should play more unpredictable and direct, and that could maybe be blessing for dembele, until he gets injured again.

Rubbish. Neymar in 2014/15 scored more than Dembele in his entirely Barca career (4 years btw). Hazard is light year better than this bum. His 2018 world cup performance alone is better than Dembele's career. Put Dembele in EPL, he would retire if he gets Hazard'a treatment from his opponents.

Same shit about how unpredictable Barca will be after Messi, only to struggle vs Getafe.

Had you paid more attention to the graph, instead of replaying your usual tape, you would have seen that it shows only the positive passes, the passes that were not intercepted or blocked.
If Busi who almost never misplaces a pass has lower xT in total than Dembouz, it means that the crosses or final passes the latter manages to complete create some really good chances

Off-topic at best.
What's the point of your videos? That Neymar's link-up play is better? So?
The graph measures the threat of the passes, crosses or through-ball, made by players.
Think again what is that you want to prove and come up with something better

And mind you, that's only passes, which are not Dembouz' strongest trait.
xT is measured also against ball carries, and whenever I find that stat about him I will post it here, because he is one of the most threatening ball carriers out there

Dembele's crosses success rate only are 29%. So he failed or is blocked quite many times. He only creates 6 chances from long ball. So it is not high either (39 chances in total)

I don't know how that twitter user calculates this stats but it seems he counts all passes, including failed attempts. Of course a failed cross/pass flies over the goal will look more threat than a pass in midfield or even a through ball in midfield.

And you usually use stats out of context. It seems you never watch him play, only search for some stats that make Dembele look better. His position, his style of play (kick and run without any iq, technique), his pace all make him look more threat than Barca's midfield playing in a possesion game.

Dembele is always a mediocre/bad passer.

For Neymae comparision, 2015/16 Liga, he created 106 chances, 26 big chances, 30% success crosses.

That's quality. Dembele is pretty garbage when it comes to some stuffs like these.

Any news regarding his renewal?

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-conversation="none"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Koeman: "Demb?l?? He's a very very good player if he is physically well. He has a great one on one and a lot of speed and can play on both wings. When he recovers, he will be a vital football player for the team, but he must renew his contract."</p>— barcacentre (@barcacentre) <a href="https://twitter.com/barcacentre/status/1435490151514390528?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">September 8, 2021</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

First of all, he is not a just a twitter user, but a football data analyst! (Downplaying professionals on a field you don't understand... The irony!)

Then, as I explained, he does not take into account failed attempts, all passes/crosses that were blocked/intercepted do not go into the calculation of that xT number.

No, you are wrong. I am defending him against the irrational hysteria on this Forum against him. I am pointing out that he is quality player, far from the caricature painted here, and the stats prove it.
The particular context for this graph is Dembele's passing. And the point I made was that he is not as bad of a passer/crosser as you guys here make him out to be.
And, on a footnote, this is just his passing, which is not his strongest skill. There is xT calculation based on ball carries, and progressive ball carries especially, and he excels there.

Finally, low success rate is a valid counter-argument, and I hear that.
But, as I explained to Bobo yesterday, you would rather have a threatening attacker with lower success rate play close to the opposition goal, than a midfielder who would be error-free, play the ball always safe, and never actually threaten.

PS: I really like how every Dembele hater here compares him to prime Neymar.
That's telling about how high the standard is set

He only had 6 key passes come from his long ball/crosses (according to Opta data). So it is not high. His total chance created are only 39, not high either.
And he only has 29% of success crosses. So i'm not sure how he (that football data analyst) caculates his stats. Does Opta give him full data???

Dembele is from a bad to mediocre passer at best. This is come from what he actually displays on the pitch. Stat like expected threat makes him look better than he actually is, mostly because he is a winger and has a role that allows him to provide more "danger pass", such as a failed cross over the goal will look like more a threat than a through ball from defense/midfield. His kick and run brainless style (from winger/attacker position) also makes his xT stat based on ball carries look better than what he actually provides. Btw it is all expected threat. The comparision to midfield is complete out of context. Barca's midfielder play in a possesion game, that is something you must remember.

Dembele's threat is such a bullshit. Mostly come from his pace which is his only asset. And his low iq allows him to play without thinking.

Neymar is an example of how an actual high quality player should look like. There is no standard for Dembele because now he is a bum, waste of 120 millions. The only hope is he will sign a contract then Barca can sell him with good price.

Barely can keep the ball close to his feet. No tight space dawgs.
This dude is hundred times better at beating his opponents.

You can be a muscular, good-looking man and still don't make them girls cum while fucking them. Adama Traore is that type of guy in football.

Last season:
Adama Traore: 41 games - 3 goals - 3 assists
Ousmane Dembele: 44 games - 11 goals - 5 assists

What Traore does on a football pitch might be cool in FIFA Street in a cage, but most of it is pointless in professional team sport. There is a reason he rarely played at EURO in a Spanish team that was lacking quality on the wings.
Not gonna sugar-coat Dembele's numbers. They are not good enough for a winger of a wannabe winning-Barca, but he at least finds the goal every 4th game.

Only compare their ability to take on opponents. Traore is hundred times better.

Both have similiar passing ability but Dembele is better at shooting. So you know how bad Traore is at shooting.

Notice how the video needed footage from 5 seasons in order to make a compelling compilation. Also notice how most of his dribbling is done through sprinting in open space, meaning he's useless 90% of the time.

Look at that and compare it to my Neymar video. Rarely ever using his top speed and relying simply on control, skills, trickery, and change of balance. Fake shots are the only thing Dembele has and even that is something he's mediocre at (the ball literally bounces off his feet lol).

His usefulness to Barca now is that teams will have to play differently against Barca due to his pace and should take other attacking players closer to opposition area.

He is at stage would not even bother asking him to connect with players in build up and just stay wide and get ball down and drive at times/get it into area.
