The club have done anything but slander him. They've protected him like he's been performing at the level of Messi.

His injuries are unfortunate but a couple of his earlier injuries was because he literally didn't report any discomfort he had. Our medical team might have a bad reputation now, but they cannot know if a player is having issues with his hamstring or something if the player itself acts like everything is normal.
