Can we do Arthur/Pjanic type of loan deal?
Loan? That was an inflated swap deal. Juventus are being investigated for the legiticimacy of that deal amongst others.
I'd stay away from that.

Yeah, but at this point I think we'll take any deal where we can save 6 months of his wages.

Maybe, I thought of that as well but I'm guessing it's amortized annually. But I have no idea.
Those saved wages might not make up for what we write off as a loss, so could be better to keep him if we can't sell him for a good price.

With everyone fit, and staying fit, I think we can make top 3 and a Europe League challenge without Dembele.
He isnt renewing so it is a case of trying to get whatever we can get right now. Same with Umtiti and Coutinho.
Let Dembele minutes go to Ferran, Abde and whoever. And see where they are in 6 months time.

Investigation? That deal was totally legit. Of course Arthur was worth 76M and Pjanic 60M, nothing to see here.

What's funny both ended up being bench warmers, but Barca can make legit case for Pjanic being 60mil bench warmer because Coutinho, Griezmann, Dembele and Umtiti. Legit deal from Barca.

According to Romero Dembele agreed verbally with Barca's offer. Looks like him or say his agent changed their minds after Barca signed Ferran. The may did not believe that they've made him the best offer they can give if they can sign another player.

I don't think Barca will budge to their demands. They did the same with Ilaix and he ended up leaving. Good to see that the club finally has grown some balls and puts club's financial interests over player's interests. They've made an offer they think is fair and it's Dembele's right to leave and earn more somewhere else. There is no doubt he'll get financially better offers as he is a free agent and club's usually compensate that with a sign-on fee or better salary. Ngl Xavi is saying the exact same things I'd tell Dembele if I were to try to convince him. If it doesn't work out I'll be calm that the club and especially Xavi with his status did everything they could.

Yeah, I think players are amortized at the end of the season/fiscal year (30th June).
They would probably consider both his amortization costs and wages. Not that it really matters imo as I see no way we could sell Dembele in January.
Laporta and Alemany will meet with his agent today after Ferran's presentation (which will start in a few minutes) so we could maybe find out more soon.
