If we are to sell him now, we need to do it for his remaining amortization fee not too write it off as a loss in our books, right? Means we need a bid of 21m (105/5) to be able to sell him in January.
Can we do Arthur/Pjanic type of loan deal?

Shouldn't it be 105:5:2=10,5M?
Yeah, but at this point I think we'll take any deal where we can save 6 months of his wages.
Loan? That was an inflated swap deal. Juventus are being investigated for the legiticimacy of that deal amongst others.
I'd stay away from that.

Investigation? That deal was totally legit. Of course Arthur was worth 76M and Pjanic 60M, nothing to see here
Btw that's what Xavi had to say in the pre-game press conference on Saturday:
That is the process of negotiation. I am still optimistic that Ousmane will come towards the club. Some agents are difficult and do not understand the current situation. I spoke to Dembele again, we'll see in the next few days. His advisor has requested another meeting. We made a fantastic offer for Ousmane, both sportily and financially, and he shouldn't miss this opportunity. But yes, the ideas are currently far apart, let's see in the next few days. If Dembele were to extend, we could immediately register Ferran and make another new addition."
“I don't think that Dembele will be happier anywhere else than here. Barca is the best club in the world and we showed them a sporting project that should have more weight than the financial aspect. He knows that we have a very interesting sporting project.”
According to Romero Dembele agreed verbally with Barca's offer. Looks like him or say his agent changed their minds after Barca signed Ferran. The may did not believe that they've made him the best offer they can give if they can sign another player.
Let's wait and see what happens today. Barca's offer was final and club already ended negotiations. Sissoko asked for another meeting. It's either take the offer or leave. I don't think Barca will budge to their demands. They did the same with Ilaix and he ended up leaving. Good to see that the club finally has grown some balls and puts club's financial interests over player's interests. They've made an offer they think is fair and it's Dembele's right to leave and earn more somewhere else. There is no doubt he'll get financially better offers as he is a free agent and club's usually compensate that with a sign-on fee or better salary. "Funny" thing is transfermarkt just devalued him from 50M to 30M.
Maybe, I thought of that as well but I'm guessing it's amortized annually. But I have no idea.
Those saved wages might not make up for what we write off as a loss, so could be better to keep him if we can't sell him for a good price.
