You don't get it. I answered it above
It's not about money anymore. His last chance was to leave in January
He is getting his money until June

I completely get it, Birdy. But reportedly Dembele is still training with the team as of yesterday. No idea about today, though. Acting childish and punishing him for disloyalty to the club seems the right attitude in fans' view, but on the sporting side we still have a speedy winger at out disposal who is fit and can contribute. Not like Ansu who cannot recover and hasn't been able to play a dozen of games in a row in 2 years now.

Those things happen in football, player leaving for free, but Dembele's case is more drama, because Barca are in crisis and losing a big name (due to his megatransfer fee) now makes the club look like run by donkeys.

Cm'on Luft.
Some of you are portraying a professional footballer as a lazy ass who doesn't even care if he plays as long as he is getting his paycheck.
It's a punishment if he doesn't play -> it affects the footballer's morale first and foremost
It's a punishments if he doesn't train -> it affects his capacity of still being a professional athlete
It's a punishment if he spends 6 months like this -> it affects his chances of getting to the WC with France AND the offers he is getting come summer

He can try find a club to allow him to use their facilities to train, but that would be hard too

But, bottom-line, it's not about some pleasure Allemany will get from the punishment.
It's about the STATEMENT to everyone around

I was talking about the "punishment" of releasing him unilaterally while paying his salary for the next 6 months and he will find a club to play, no question about that. Who wouldn't want to take him for free for 6 months with zero cost? Hence no point of releasing him now.

The statement that you kept talking about is pretty loud and clear: Barca under the current management is a petty club. Crybaby. They didn't get what they wanted (renewal) so they punish the player to this extent.

It is unlawful to deny a player the right to train anyway. But even if it wasn't not the right thing to do in any way. Not only did we come out with the worst outcome here but it sets a bad standard for players coming here that we don't respect contracts and harass our players for not renewing.

Fiorentina president Commisso: "Vlahović deal was full of dishonest and liars. We opened talks with English clubs - every time a new offer came up, Vlahović and his agents said no. Their plan was the same as Mbapp? with PSG: leave as a free agent and make money". Purple circle #Vlahovic

At least in the eyes of the Fiorentina president, Mbappe's case is not too different. They are all "stalling" the renewal talks and yet very few clubs resorted to what we are doing.

lIf Barcelona release Ousmane Demb?l? now, even though he would become a free agent, he would not be able to join a new club until the start of next season.

@planetabarcaa

Someone has to confirm this, but it looks like he will not be playing for ANY club until June

Talking shite.

Vlahovic signed for Juventus on a 75m fee and a 7m net per season wage, surely lower than anything he could get in the Prem. He didn't leave as a free agent and he signed for a relatively low salary.

I think it also depends on how the player treats the club. Perhaps Dembele did give a verbal agreement and go back on his word. Or at the very least done something to also piss off our side.

PSG done something similar to Rabiot. On the other hand Mbappe is playing out his contract.

Pique also overstepped the line (imo) by commenting on Dembele entourage on twitch, but it is also enlightening that he is surrounded by rotten apples.

It wont really effect ensuing signings if it is an exception rather than the rule.

Works both ways. Nothing matters until it is in writing.

Club did same to Messi.

LOL :lol:

Hilarious statement really, when he received 75 m for the player
LMAOL, he is embarrassing himself
When the truth is what hurt him so much is that Vlahovic wanted to go to the rival club (Juve) that Fiorentina hates.

About Mbape, again ridiculous statement
Mbape did not opt to run down his contract. Leonardo and Nasser opted for that.
They could have sold him to the club of his preference (RM) last summer, they didn't

PS: Not comparable really to Dembouz and Moussa, who malevolently deprived Barca of their choice to sell

Mbappe would never have gone anywhere but Madrid.

For all we know the club of Dembeles preference told him only willing to take him for free in summer.

Situations are similar in that scenario and Dembele doesnt have to go anywhere else just because club wants him to.

I really hope he turns out good, cause we need all the positives we can get

Now this is a clip showcasing their highlights so far for the 2022 season

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1oOp7bJyDU -> Adama
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=739o34ONx7M -> Dembele.

One thing you'll notice here is that Adama dribbles more and makes far more wayward decisions and pointless crosses than Dembele, while also being less creative.
Anyways, I'm hoping for a turnaround from Adama, like what we're seeing in Vinicius cause that would be massive for us

This is from today's training and I think it's Dembele in the background at 02:54

P.S. - he's there definitely, had a shot on MATS during the small-pitch practice. The social media department is just not emphasizing on him for understandable reasons.
