But more seriously you really feel that he's always laughing with everyone, making a show and bringing some type of Fun/autenticity with his teamate. Maybe it has a link, they confuse his behaviour with actual and factual skills

His peak at high level are very high... but never was consistent... A good exemple is against Real Madrid. He was clutch for us but at the same time lost many ball and took several bad decisions (and not only in the second half where the match was already done). It's just that you can't really trust him as an elite starter.

I know a majority of the forum hates Dembele but wouldn’t it be cheaper to just resign him than sign Raphina or whoever else for ~50mil + contract??

Ideally we have two players of Dembeles profile for RW like we have right now with Dembele/Adama.

Maybe it would be cheaper, but can't compromise if you want to move forward. We need quality and players that hopefully will deliver. You can't depend on Dembele.

And no, it's not ideal to have two low IQ pacy wingers. Having one is already frustrating enough.

Probably. But give in to Dembele and then what happens with Gavi, Araujo and further down the line Pedri, Ferran, etc.

They too will run their contracts down to get that tasty sign-on bonus because it is cheaper than paying a transfer fee + wage for a replacement.

Bad precedent.

And plus, we should aim higher / more consistent performer than Dembele.

Dembele is easily worth his place for way Xavi wants to play.

He has most assists in Europes top 5 leagues since turn of year.

If continues to play way team have then having a winger that can isolate with full back and go past them on outside to get balls in there is not many better going about than Dembele at that.
