If he accepts the offer which he was rejecting till now - this means he is staying because he doesnt have where to go. If i am in barca board i will lower the offer in the current situation. It's obvious why Xavi wants him, we basically have Depay, Auba and Ferran as our forwards for next season and we're not getting Raphinha also, cause he'll be priced out by another club. So Demebele is easily the cheapest option now till 30th

I get your point, but if you were the one in charge you would most likely want him to stay cause in the end, the coach would be judged by what he has accomplished without excuses and I'm pretty sure Xavi knows we're definitely not betting Raphinha or Gnabry, so he'll want his top players around.
