Paul Pogba

Kroos, Modric, Isco and the DM position reserved for Casemiro.

Pogba would play no matter what. Madrid are the "Galacticos", they have always been signing names. Kroos, Isco or Casemiro would simply get benched. Right from the first second that Pogba giveshis signing, he'd be the immediate No.1 contender for a first 11 spot. He could be absolute average at Madrid, they'd still start him anyways. Kroos, Isco or Casemiro wouldn't only need to outperform Pogba to compete for a starting spot, they would have to outperform him in such an obvious way that even the busdriver can tell that Pogba isn't actually better than them.
So safe to say: Unless Pogba is complete utter trash at Madrid, he'd be an undoubted starter, Kroos or Isco would probably get sold then.

That's the part of the problem. With a team like that he won't win much.

Truth be told, any team who signs a superstar for record breaking sums of money will play him no matter what.

James will be sold either way. And they have to sign a replacement for him. So it makes sense to go for Pogba. Plus with the ban and all they will not be able to sign any "stars" next season. Isco and James will be sold mostly if Pogba moves to real. Kroos Modric Pogba Casemiro Kovacic and probably another DM. Kovacic why did he ever think he will become a starter at real seriously. He should move fast if he wants to develop.

he'd probably stil win something though. The team could have no chemistry at all, they'd still have like so many worldclass players that it would eventually not matter.
He'd be still smarter to join Barca though, the team is not any less stacked inidividually, just with a whole lot more structure.

Its funny because I constantly hear arguments that the reason we cant sign player X and Y is because it is so tough to get into our team so they reject us. Really? I doubt it. Meanwhile, RM can stack their teams.

How much have RM win in comparision to us over the last decade with that kind of policy?

Because we had Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets etc. at their peak last decade. Things have changed. We can't just rest on our laurels and think it will be the case in the next decade.

No, but buying only superstars don't guarantee you success. I'd prefer for us to buy someone like Bazoer and make him our Pogba.

When reading some posts here I just get a feeling that some people here thinks we'll win treble for the next 5 years if we sign Pogba and we won't win anyhing ever again if we don't get him.

Every team in the World would prefer to buy their own Bazoer and make him their Pogba.

The problem with that is that there's a lot of uncertainty regarding the former while the latter's qualities and ability along with potential is known to everyone.

No one has said that the club should sign superstars in every position or only superstars. Which other superstars are we signing or linked to anyway?

Perhaps we should have groomed Deulofeu and Sandro to be our Neymar and Suarez too. I'm afraid it isn't that easy though.

Well, RM bought Varane, Casemiro, Marcelo and others for 5 to 12m euros as youngsters. When was the last time we bought something like that?
