Paul Pogba

I'm watching a pre-match show here on Danish telly right now, and one of the experts made the exact same comparison. I don't know about who's the better player, though. Pogba probably has a higher ceiling.

Im not sure if pogba can go to the lengths that gerrard could to effect a game. Gerrard would win games on his own with absolute dross around him, he would be a one man team even on the biggest stage. Yet to see pogba do that and he plays with much better players. He has the talent and time on his stage so hopefully he can step it up this tournament.

I don't know man. Making comparisons between players from different footballing ages will always be hard. I do think that Pogba is a player who can make a difference all by himself, just like Gerrard could. I honestly don't remember him that well as I've never followed the EPL closely, but was Gerrard at 23 as good as Pogba is now?

Yeah, what a horrible game he had. Just hang him already

according to this video Pogba had 100% pass accuracy in the game and was never actually dispossessed even once.
What's weird is that his actual game statistics don't actually reflect that. I's almost as if those scenes are actually cherry picked.

When Gerrard was 23 he was captain of liverpool i think and that summer was when jose went all out to try and get him if i remember correctly. I cant help but think a move to real will be bad for him. Will he be given to the license to roam like he has at juve? He isnt really a 10 but hes not and 8 either so it will be interesting to see if zidane will give him a license to roam which kroos doesnt particularly get.

Juve want €120 million cash plus Toni Kroos for Paul Pogba

I think at this point we can stop dreaming about Pogba and move on to the next target. He is too expensive for us IF Juventus does decide to sell him and if that does happen, Real Madrid will most likely snatch him.

We should start looking at the likes of Bazoer, Tielemans etc.

Good, now RM will know what is like to deal with Raiola.

Its common sense. Juve would be the most stupid club ever if they offloaded Pogba on the cheap for 80-100m like people here claimed they would. 120m in one big wad of cash+Kroos, thats what we're talking about.

It's still under negotiation and club usually start selling with highest possible price then it will go down to an agreed fee. So even with the current rumored price as per Marca (120m+kroos), 100m is still closer than 200m that you claimed. 120m+ kross who was bought for 25m= 145m

Kroos is valued at least at 70m in today's market. To say he's worth 25m is like saying Lewandowski is free now because Bayern got him on a free.

A straight up 120m+70m is actually more than a 120m fixed+80m addons. People are starting to wake up to the reality in here and thats good, because we dont have this crazy amount of money

I believe that was a cheeky way of telling RM that there's no way Pogba is going to join them unless they destroy their whole summer mercato and let go of an important player. Pogba can only come to Barcelona, because Barca is the only club he wants to play for that's not Juventus.

Now you are inflating Kroos price to support your own ridicules argument?! lol ok, when you are the club making the deal, first thing you count the cost/expense. Kroos cost them 25m. The P&L statement shows revenues and expenses, and the expense for Kross is 25m not 70m.

It's neither. Right now he's not worth 25m only, no way. 70m sounds a bit exaggerated, but it's closer to his value than 25m. I'd say 50-60m.

Whatever you say. Next you'll say since Messi was free for us, trading him for Iborra is like getting Iborra for free.

You just claimed a few days ago that Juve was ready to sell for 100m. Now you claim Toni Kroos is only worth 25m on an open market. Just admit you were wrong instead of continuing down this ridiculous path.

Players like Benteke and Mangala went for almost that amount last year (around 45m euros). Kroos is a star on a great NT and a fixed starter for RM. I'd say 70m is on the low end of what RM can get for him with a bidding war between PSG, Chelsea, Man U, City etc.
