That idea falls down I think in what the Chinese side gain from it as opposed to losing their best player.

Let alone what folk on Barca side would lose if it came out to be true.

It is just a ridiculous signing that someone somewhere seems convinced he is good enough.

The Evergrande group is a real estate company, while Adelte is a construction company.

Business expansion, building of partnerships and more monetary gain can easily be obtained for the Evergrande group through a deal like this.

I can't believe he's still trying to defend the board.

Evergrande is simply being slid money under the table via this deal to convince them to give Adelte the contract.

That's what doesn't add up.

The last thing they need is money but what they struggle to get is 'high profile' players.

With new rules they effectively have 20m to spend on foreigner to replace him.

Dont think Chinese gain much from it. Unless they are to stop spending money on football side

I don't even remember the last time being a Barça fan made me this depressed. If only I could hibernate a few years, or at least until Barto and his cronies were far gone from our club...

I'll do my best to support Paulinho, as he's obviously not the one to blame for this fuckery, but if he pushes Sergi Roberto away from the club, it's going to be increasingly hard to stomach watching this one in a Barça shirt.

I need a break from this shit...

Not even the Douglas transfer was this toxic despite everyone knowing he wasn't good enough.

Paulinho's transfer to the club is so much worse that it wouldn't be shocking if corruption was not only involved but pure incompetence as well. like holy shit man this is just bad.

WOW! For a second I thought the mods had deleted this thread out of rage. I was like: :( But then I realized it was moved to the proper forum section. :messi:

So nice to see Paulinho with the blaugrana shirt. First time I'll see an idol of mine playing for Barça since Zubi retired.

What a day, gentleman! What a lovely fucking day!

I know you hate him right now but he'll win you all. He doesn't care, he's like that. A fighter, a winner. Barça is the perfect place for guys like him!:champions:

Yeah he's a Box to Box Midfielder.

He would work in a simplified role like in Brazil where he can work off the ball and recover and make runs into the box. But that's pretty much it. problem is we need players who are strong on the ball that not only can control the tempo but create chances as well.

Paulinho doesn't have any of that.

Well said, mate. You criticized him fairly and accurately. This is a guy that knows how Paulinho plays. Well done. Are you American or just living the US?

Now, I'd never expect barça to sign a guy like him during the tiki-taka days. But judging by the last season plus the two matches against Madrid it's clear barça needs a guy like him. Overpriced, of course but the market was ruined and the next year gonna be multiples signings over 100m. 50m will be the floor for world class players. And yes, Paulinho led the reborn of the Brazilian NT, he's WC!

Yeh, they don't gain anything by selling him. If it was two years ago they'd have accepted 25m, 30m for paulinho. But now Chinese teams basically can't buy talent from abroad anymore. Paulinho wont be replaced.

The Optics of this transfer is awful as well. We are a prestigious club that bought a Midfielder who flopped big time for the Spurs who were nowhere near as good as this current spurs that was flogged off to China.

For 40 fucking million euros.

40 FUCKING MILLION EUROS. for 29 year old Brazilian that was playing in China after he flopped in europe.

You're assuming that the owners of Evergrande are not corrupt. But you're a guy who think Paulinho is world class as well...
