We already have 2 physical players in Gomes and Rakitic and neither of them are coming off a good season.

I don’t see how a third work horse is going to improve the team in any way. Maybe I’m the one that’s missing the point here, but it just seems like we compounding the problem even further.

Can we just go back to the old model of buying technically strong players who can keep hold of the ball. What is going on with this club’s mentality? Have they all of a sudden become afraid of playing against bigger players?

Some of the best players in our history are probably the smallest players in the world, and they can all keep hold of the ball with ease – Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Alves. We need to go back to the old way of thinking.
