Yeah, I'm not that crazy about Dybala. Sure he's still young but I haven't seen that absolute wc potential like Dembele or Mbappe. Those are potential game changers. Dybala is not imo.

Buying a player and keeping him for 10 years sounds way easier than it actually is.
For one Pique, you have 5 players like Gomes, Denis, Neymar, Fabregas, Alexis, Paco etc

A player who can stay at the top for 10 years is what we should aim for when looking for players. Or as close to 10 years. The fact that our transfers have sucked dont mean that we shouldnt aim to improve. That of course means signing young class players. Neymar fit that strategy. Same with Umtiti. Ronaldo has now been with RM for 8 years. Ramos, Marcelo, Pepe and others even longer. How long will Kroos stay with them? Many more years to come IMO. Ronaldo's fee was considered outrageous. But divide that fee up over 10 years and its just 9m euros per year. Its nothing. Its real value. We cant just think about the present moment when assessing the fees we have to pay. It has to do with resale value but also a long term strategy. We already have to think about replacing Suarez and Messi for huge amounts of money. Buying even more players we have to replace shortly just isnt a good strategy. Its bad value and we simply risk not being able to compete as our transfer budget must be gigantic when we have to replace superstars we just bought 3 or 4 years ago on a regular basis.

Thats why players like Mbappe, Dembele and others are preferable to players like Griezmann (who obviously wont abandon Atletico this summer).

Dembele and Mbappe are special. Former can play as a RW, LW, CAM as he's done at BVB while the latter is showing a level as a CF that hasn't been seen at this age for a very long time.

Agree with everything you say! Signing Dembélé and Mbappe would be like a dream come true..

Everyone jumped on Dybala hate train here I see. Not long ago everyone blaming the board for not signing him when he wanted to come. Get a grip people, saying he is just some average player is nonsense. He is quite talented, he showed that on Juve. I think Dybala and Messi can find a place in our setup. He is a central player who can create chances and also act as a second striker. And I think he can perform Pedro role from wing too. He will be a valuable addition imo. Messi and Dybala can constantly interchange positions. I really like his playstyle. Not a ball hog for sure and very creative. I would prefer signing Dembele and Mbappe. But I will be happy with Dybala and Dembele also.

Mbappe is not happening. You guys can forget about it. Dembele we can sign probably if we decide to splash 100M. But is that enough? No ofcourse not. Dembele is too young and cannot fill neymar shoes. And his best position seems to be RW.
