Certainly not ol' Fourteen over here!

I love Pedro, I hope he retires at Barca and I think it's great that he is taking on #7.

This is a a big season for Pedro. If he doesn't get back to near his best form then he has to be dropped. I hope he remains at the club for the forseeable future because he is a good squad player to have but if he continues to play so poorly and remain a starter then I'll be very annoyed.

Indeed, he'll be forced to raise his game. Messi is Messi and Neymar is very likely to jump straight in to the left wing, so his main competition is Alexis and I have a feeling Tata will favour Alexis down the right. We'll see, it's anybody's guess really.

Still love Pedro as well and I don't think he's turned to shit either, I just don't understand how you can watch a player sharply move the ball along 90+% of the time he receives it week in and week out and continue to get starts without seeing that it's down to management. His finishing is a little poorer as he tries it so infrequently but it's not as though he's suddenly tripping over the ball and has lost his ridiculous work rate. Hope to see a front 3 of Neymar-Messi-Pedro do some serious damage this season.

Why do you consider him being worth less than 10m? Random players like Gameiro go for 10.
Next time somebody complains about us selling a player under their value I'll redirect them to this thread.

Because he simply has not done anything of worth the last 2,5 years.

Let's be honest; Pedro had 1 outstanding and then fell back to probably his 'normal' level. If that is the case, I don't see much future for him here. I'd rather cash in on him and buy another player or let Deulofeu make minutes next year. As said; big season coming up. Either he convinces so much he needs to stay, otherwise he should be out.

I think Pedro would accept a squad player role.

I still don't see the logic behind this... Pedro doesn't have very high wages, he doesn't have a high market value, and he doesn't ever demand more minutes or anything like that. Plus, he's a homegrown player who's had some very successful times at the club. At his worst, he's still a good squad player to have. On the other hand, Alexis is way too expensive to be a squad player. Because, let's face it, he's not good enough to be a starter either. It would make sense to sell the one who'd go for a higher price.

Well thats the problem,if hes about to be a squad player and accepts to be benched its ok.But generally he is not a world class player.Had 2 good seasons is something positive but certainly not enough to say that he had a very succesful time here.I would say that if was good in those 2 bad seasons in 2011-12 and 2012-13..

Still he does't look enough for me to be in the attack of a team like Barcelona, especially if he continues playing this way.

I'm just saying, if for example, our attack next season was Iniesta - Messi - Neymar or something like that, it would make more sense to have Pedro on the bench than a 37M Alexis.

i really miss pedro's lethal finishing. his conversion rate used to be one of the best. that goal in el classico was sublime.

This. I've watched some old footage and then he used to run into the striker position and be a good finisher. Haven't seen that for ages from him, hence me being unhappy about Pedro. Of course some of it is due to tactics, keeping the pitch wide etc. But still, he used to be better and tbh I don't really see him improving.
