I just don't get it. Even if he under performs by your standards (10 goals or less) what's the problem of having a player like him as a sub?

Him as a sub is a great ideea but people were pissed that he was playing all the time even when others clearly deserved to start ahead of him.

Did you expect him to say he thinks the team is weak at the back? It's a political answer, so no one gets angry with him.
Exactly.

No problem in keeping him as a sub. Although he's been a starter the past seasons.

cause he won't be a game changer while brought on as sub. if he n alexis under performs this season too then that's it for them.

Not all players need to be game changers. If Pedro fails to maintain his position in the starting lineup he could be perfect for rotation.Barca plays 60-70 games per season and is expected to win most of them. We can't play the same players every game nor can we expect every youngster (Tello,Deulo etc) to perfrom on par with the senior players.

Don't expect a 2010/11 performance of Pedro, that was outstanding and he does not have the talent to keep that level up all the time. However, I really like his game and I think it's crucial that he can contribute to our overall performance. He was great today, hope for him to play more like this. Anything between 10-15 goals is already good and if he can contribute by his pressing and getting on the opponents nerves all the time, that helps us very much overall.

Well he was really good tonight. Seemed to have regained much confidence, runs behind defenses and actually be in the area when needed. I expect him to get around 15 goals this season given he doesn't get injured much. Competition is finally there for our strikers and it's doing the trick so far.

It's obvious that he suffered from Tito's (and Pep's tactics in his last season), where he had the task to keep the field wide. Yesterday him and Alexis played closer to goal, which suits them much more.

More than anything, the Pedro who shot rather than always deferred/squared to Messi returned and it was terrific...In fact, had Navas not gotten a hand on one of those it would've resulted in a helluva goal from Pedro...He was terrific on the night, worthy of the #7 kit
