He was great from 2008 to 2011, playing alongside Messi. That wasn't a problem then, why was it more recently? I don't think that's it.

Because opponents changed the way they played against Barça, and started parking the bus. The whole false 9 system started struggling.

Even this past year, he's had only a few chances to start with the "Lucho System", where he was playing alongside Suarez, Messi, and most of the key first team players. In those cases, the scores were mostly blowouts, even if Pedro didn't collect many goals and assists.

Perhaps arda will be better suited for us, he is a slower more cerebral player who will unlock buses with his dribbling and creativity, he also has that fire and won't give up if a bus is really good.
