"Barca History" thread was supposed to be for our players that have retired (or play in China, Qatar, USA etc - which is the same as retiring). Keita went to China and was probably never moved back when he went back to Valencia and now Roma. Also, Valdes is in Barca History for some reason as well - but he might actually be on his way to USA or Qatar soon

Ah ok,that makes sense.

Thanks for the explanation.

Beautiful article and deeply resonates with my opinion on him. Never has been a star player, but humble hard-working and crucial to a lot of success. This guy was allowed to retire at Barca even if he never would reach the level he had once been playing at.
He is like the Marlon of the Jackson 5 lol.

What's really cool though are those videos where he is speaking English. Never heard him speak English before and he's pretty good at it lol.

I'd like to see a link up between him and Azplilicueta down the right, would be better than him and Iva tbh. Baba and Hazard would probably be better on the left too. I hate that Iva can't cross for shit.

I'm just Face palming at some United fans that think he wasn't worth signing.

They act like Pedro was some sort of Shit house of a player just because he was on the Bench Here. Obviously not all united fans are like this but it's just Frustrating to see some United fans act like he isn't good at all just because Woodward and United Botched the deal. ( I don't buy the we weren't interested stuff)

We still have to wait and see, but Pedro is a quality player and proved he could do very well for Chelski. Well played by United, Neymar, Muller, Ronaldo etc simply cant wait to come to Manchester..

I think the bigger facepalm was that he's gone to Chelsea of all teams, particularly when you think about how bitter the rivalry has been over the past decade. If it's true that Fabregas and his partner played a major role and Mourinho only needed to make a 1 minute call then that's gotta be worrying in the future for other Barca players. Chelsea is now seen as a very desirable destination if it isn't quite so perfect in Barcelona and they have the money to bid for anyone.

As for United, I'm disappointed to miss out on Pedro but I don't think it's a major thing because the biggest concern is the number 9 position with the state Rooney is currently in. I do hope we're not finished in the market.

Had a very good game. He was the best back up we could have had, very unhappy he left. I would of loved to keep him but I understand he wanted to play more and he is exactly the type of player Mou likes.

I have some hopes for him. Seriously if Oscar has a good season, him, Hazard and Pedro can be the three amigos mk. II. Pedro obviously isn't a creator in the Mata mold, but Hazard is a lot better than back then, and Oscar is better although still infuriatingly inconsistent. If Oscar doesn't step up this season I don't see us winning squat.

Pedro, who joined Chelsea last week, will today at 13:00 give a press conference at Barcelona's training centre to say goodbye. #fcblive

As fans who have watched both players extensively over the past few years, who do you guys think got more value for their money- Arsenal buying Sanchez or Chelsea with Pedro?

Cheers

Both were bargains when we think of the money BPL teams have.
Alexis provably is the type of a winger who can carry a team while Pedro makes other players play better. But we'll see.

No. Most players want to play, not warm the bench. He's not entitled to warm the bench just because the management never thought about adding some depth to the forward line and incorporating it to their plans and the club managed to get this transfer ban over its head.

For some reason people think all players should be happy sitting on their ass most of the time just because it's for Barca, but no, it's not, not for most players out there.
