Penal Madrid

Horatio

You're welcome
I swear you lot see the world with some special type of lenses.

You would go out , see some masked guy with a RM jersey on him try to rob a bank and kill adults and kids in the process and you would say some stuff like

,, Aww ...... he probably has his reasons "

No bro, it's not that 'you didn't add Copa'.
It is very simple, and you pretend you don't understand to push your braindead Madritista narrative

Teams that are super dominant in a given season tend to outplay and crush all opposition they came against, even good opposition, and that some times makes them win ALL competitions they fight for
Like Barca 14/15
Like Barca 08/09
Like Bayern 12/13
Like Bayern 19/20
Like City 22/23
these teams could win against anyone, they were terrorizing opponents on the pitch.
They dominance eventually got reflected in what they won.

That doesn't mean that such super dominant teams ALWAYS get the treble.
Barca 10/11 who belongs to the above list didn't. It happens sometimes, THO not often

Yet, you NEVER EVER had such team in your recent history, let's say post 2009, despite the many CLs.
You were always stumbling your way to a Cl win, with huge luck, with some voodoo, and many times with ref help. And It's not only that you were not dominating opposition, but in many many ties you were EVEN outplayed by the opposition.

And you have to nerve to come here and tell us you can be in the same line with these teams.
OF COURSE NOT.
Thing is, that winning the threepeat is arguably more impressive than winning the treble. The only team that is above the 2016-2018 Madrid in recent history is 2009-2011 Barca, no one comes close.

Even this current team has won the double in 2 of the last 3 seasons, this is some historic stuff, no matter how you look at it. And they just added the best player in the world, that is some scary stuff. They may not win next year, but with so much talent and Carlo at the bench, it is pretty much guaranteed that they will win at least 1-2 more within the next few years.

No other team has reached this level of consistency since Pep Barca.

Consistency from referees to always help them in clutch moment.

Sure they have had help from the refs (many times blatantly so), but you don't win 6 CLs in 11 years just thanks to the refs.

We try to discredit the di Stefano era (even more rightfully so), but just this century:

Inter Milan 1
Manchester United 1
Manchester City 1
Chelsea 2
AC Milan 2
Liverpool 2
Bayern 3
Barca 4
.
.
.
.
.
Real Madrid 8

What about the CL era (since 1993)

Inter Milan 1
Manchester City 1
Juventus 1
Liverpool 2
Manchester United 2
Chelsea 2
AC Milan 3
Bayern 3
Barca 4
.
.
.
.
Real Madrid 9

We are second in both lists largely thanks to Messi, otherwise it is more than likely that we would have 2 titles and belong among the other European teams (I am inclined to believe that the golden generation would win at least one even without Messi), but still miles behind Madrid.

It can't be just the refs, we have to look ourselves in the eye and admit that we simply do not have the killer instinct. Even during the Messi/Pep/MSN era, we either were DOMINANT and won everything, or underachieved. Since 2010/11 Real Madrid have failed to make it to the CL semis like 2 times, while we have made it to the semis only 2 times since 2012/13.

You make some fair points but you are massively understating the power of a referee in high level knockout football where the margins are paper thin.

Look at this season, where Madrid would have lost against Leipzig had there been a fair referee. Vini should have been sent off, Carvajal too, and RB had a perfectly good goal ruled out . Any one of those decisions goes Leipzigs way and Real go out. Alternatively, if the ref gave Araujo a yellow and not a red Vs PSG then Barca gets to play a UCL final and potentially win it. Fine margins.

And that's not even factoring in all the 50/50, tactical fouls that a referee can treat differently for either side. There is a massive difference to a seasons narrative between winning the UCL and losing to Leipzig in the round of 16.

I don't need to go in to all the other Real robberies during those 9 wins becsuse we will be here all day. I'm not sure how many of those they would have won with fair referees, maybe none at all, given the sight margins.

People talk about fearing Mbappe next season. Having a referee on your side is like having 3 Mbappes !

The best what?
You mean the guy that is invisible in every important game?
LOOL
How much you get brainwashed by PR and media is unreal

As for the rest, simply not true
3peat was lucky,
and double is quite common for CL winners.
The fact that Madrid shithouse their way to CLs doesn't mean that this is the rule

How about you guys quit whining, and focus on yourself? Barca has been a joke in the UCL every single season since 18/19, which is starting to be some time ago, actually.

As long as Barca keeps contributing everything that doesn't go their way to luck/refs/grass length or whatever, you won't improve, simple as.

I even sort of wanted Barca to knock out PSG, as i despise the latter, but they even had to fuck up that, since again, they are a joke in knockout format.
