Marca suggests this line-up as a possible option to ''regain balance''

Yup word in Madrid/Spain is that Mendes and Perez fell out. I really don't see CR staying in Madrid now esp if Man Utd get CL football next season.

The bad thing is that Madrid will probably get Reus to replace Cristina.

Don't see how that is bad, Reus is great, but I couldn't see him getting anywhere near as many goals + assists (as in both of them together) as Ronaldo

Bale and Cristiano will just get in eachother's way and THAT midfield balance. This looks more like a lineup to fit in James and Kroos someway or another instead of a "balanced lineup".

It's not as bad as some are saying. Bale in midfield is a poor man's di Maria but he does provide some of the same elements. For one, he'll drift up/wide when Ronaldo goes to the center, he'll also be delivering accurate crosses regularly for CR/Benzema, and he has pace/stamina and neverending effort that Di Maria did to provide a constant threat. He can also smash in some of his infamous longshots.

He doesn't have the same defensive workrate or near the level of skill/vision as di Maria did but it isn't that stupid of an option. James could also find a more suited position to get the best out of him on the right. The faults will be that Bale will face tighter marking and more pressure therefore he'll be less efficient and he isn't a very agile player. Even then he's a better dribbler than CR so if anyone would take that 'winger in midfield' role it's Bale. There's still no defensive balance but it resembles what they did last year more than the current lineup.

I dont see why you are laughing? Do you have issues of some kind, might take care of that.
Anyway, i see many here laughing about Modrics defensive work, when in reality, he is acually very good in tracking back. Bale certainly has the stamina and body for running up and down all day, Kroos is a more mobile Xabi Alonso, or at least has the potential for that.

I think you're overestimating that midfield trio's possible effectiveness when played together. I'm sure it could work against lower tier teams, but against us? I'm not so sure.
Modric is solid, I have no illusions about that. He NEEDS to be there.
But as far as Kroos and Bale? Xabi>Kroos due to experience and overall defensive ability. Di Maria>Bale for obvious reasons.
Bale can run, sure. But can he operate in tight spaces while also injecting creativity at the same time? I'm not so sure.
You really don't see any problems with those three vs our midfield + Neymar, Suarez, and Messi? I'm not sure if you have seen our games so far, but we look pretty damn solid this season.

I'm not saying you guys can't beat us or anything as silly as that :D! Just that the lineup doesn't look too threatening. I think you guys can do better, im sure we will see.

As for the matter of workrate, i dont see a problem with that line-up. Bale often runs back and help, he will do it even more in this position. Modric is a workhourse, im sure Kroos can cope as well. It might not work out, but i dont see why it couldnt potentially solve some of our problems. Speaking of Bale, do you know where he was played in his super-season for Spurs? Not out wide.
Ok, it wasnt actually in a midfield trio either, but as a number 10. Not saying how he will do there, but the point is, he has shown he works well in a more central position before. Of course we can have problems, and i personally think we will lose, as Ancelotti has to figure out what to do with the mess Perez has made. I think we will come back stronger after new year.

They'd have to play more as a cohesive unit instead of relying on the individual talents of Cristiano. So many players have to sacrifice themselves at Madrid just to make Cristiano look good all of these years but what exactly do they have to show for it besides a few trophies? I think Reus joining them and Cristiano leaving would allow all of the players to give there all without having to hinder themselves to make Cristiano score enough to compete with Messi.
