The classico is a very special game, the team we are going to face will be completely different from what we saw tonight or the last 2 months, that said, talent-wise we are clearly ahead, an in form Messi is more than enough, though I see a close game.

not to sound cocky but the same was said before the derby against their city rivals (AM). Those games are special for RM as well and they had the extra motivation of winning after being incapable of doing that 5 times.
Nothing is predictable in football but A LOT would need to change for RM not repeating the same performances they've been doing lately. I'm not even talking about the Clasico, even Levante can scrap some points from them.

We hadn't gone without a win in 3 games though (including two losses). But I get what you're saying.

Yeah, all it takes is a Ronaldo goal out of nowhere like today's, despite an average game overall. Or a Ramos header. We lost to Celta and Malaga (the latter stinks especially since we were supposed to be on a hot streak) at home, we could very well be losing to Real Madrid at home.

Now everyone needs to give his 120% next Sunday.

Lol at both sides trying to jinx each other.I think the main problem is there midfield, Because of being overplayed and injuries none of their midfielder either try to recover in time for the opposition teams counters or for for them to launch a counter themselves. Going to be one hell of a clasico doh. Can't wait!!

Yesterday was the chance of a lifetime to knock Madrid out. Ancelotti surely would've been sacked then, knowing the Madrid board. They'd be easy prey for the upcoming Clasico. A shame really. It's obvious a match like that won't happen to them again. Real will surely now win the Champions League.

They're going to get an easy opponent in the QF (Arsenal/Monaco, Porto, Leverkusen), will narrowly but still comfortably go through. Then get a good team like Bayern or Juventus who will underestimate them a little because of their struggles before and attack them, so RM can use their counters to book a ticket to the final. And there they will easily win because Real Madrid has never lost a CL final. Even if they're in a losing position they'll always have that lucky 93rd minute header.

Chief Of Footballing Matters
Taxing times for Florentino Pérez

A director for the Spanish Inland Revenue between the years 1998 and 2001 has revealed that Florentino Pérez threatened to stop La Liga when a series of football club tax inspections was launched in the year 2000.

Ignacio Ruiz-Jarabo made reference in a radio interview to passages published in his book 'Tax Status and Democracy' on investigations run by the Tax Office with regard to club business. "We decided to initiate tax inspection proceedings and resolved that, for an industry such as professional football, in which competition between clubs is so fierce, they should be done in a coordinated manner. So it was decided to carry out across-the-board inspections, based on coincident and coordinating criteria in all inspection teams so that they were in tune with regard to the criteria and timing", he explained.

"Once the inspections were underway, we had reliable information that the president of Real Madrid asked the Ministry of Finance to stop them. The request was made in categorical terms and was accompanied by a warning that failure to heed his request would lead to the domestic tournament being halted", he went on.

Ruiz-Jarabo stressed that "obviously, the Tax Office, on hearing of the petition, did not consider it for a second". "Tax inspections are not carried out according to the desires of the taxpayer, but on criteria set by the Inland Revenue. Stopping the inspections would have constituted an unreasonable interruption which would have resulted in the expiry of the period in which the Tax Agency is able to check those financial years in the future", he pointed out.

Ruiz-Jarabo reiterated that Florentino's petition, which "according to him was on behalf of all the clubs", was never complied with. "There was someone in the Ministry of Finance who was prepared to listen to the application by Florentino Pérez. Fortunately for the rule of law and taxpayers' rights, the petition had no effect - the inspections went ahead as did the Spanish league", he concluded.

Porto and Monaco would give them a game, much more so than Schalke.
