Lahm is the most intelligent player Guardiola has trained, thank god it's football and not nuclear physics :p

I'm sure he meant football-wise, anyone who has heard Lahm speak knows he's not exactly Einstein. And football-wise he is very intelligent I must say, can adapt to different positions without any problems and excel in all of them. I do feel that some of his comments are directed directly at Barça too, though, especially because the whole Bayern posse use the Barcelona comparison quite often anyway.

Still with Pep's Lahm quote? Some guys really need to stop believing everything pep said or says. It's not gospels, you know

Really impressive that Bayern dominates like in the peak Barca days.

Its sort of boring that he is once again with the superior material, this time a much more dominant squad as the competitors in germany lose their key players, but you still have to admire the statistics.

I hope both him and Messi goes to a bit smaller club one day, would be exciting to see what they could do with it.

Why? I don't need a narrative to enjoy football. I'd rather watch a team filled with superstars doing what they do best than a crappy team with that one good player/manager that scraps for the win.
This whole rooting for the underdogs is such a childish thing.

This being just a form of entertainment where the skills shown have no real value, it could be a bit pretentious to try delimit for others which aspects they are to appreciate.

You aren't really saying anything, the first part of your statement is obvious the 2nd misses the point. We were both sharing which aspects of the game we enjoy - critiquing each other's point of view is kind of the point of posting on a forum such as this one. Trying to take the moral high ground isn't always a good idea, sure sometimes you shouldn't dwell too much on the particular, this isn't one of them.

Guardiola: "Gotze the new Messi? Mario is excellent, but Messi is another level, no comparisons possible. Messi is the best in the history."

Pep the traitor!!!

I was just about to post that. Funny how the haters don't bother to copy that kind of quotes. Only the ones praising Bayern players.

You should know better than to believe what Pep has to say. He's probably planning on making a bid for Messi..or he's upset with Gotze because he doesn't want to play as a false 9 anymore.

This. Not Messi, but Pep. Not necessarily a smaller club, but a club where he's not going to be able to walk the league instantly. Bayern was such a poor move.

Don't know what you want. He clearly said he's going to take a sabbatical. He's just doing that right now coaching Bayern in Bundesfodder.
