Pep Guardiola

honestly i see him making a push to coach Spain NT once Del Bosque steps down. The way I see it, he won't be at Bayern long term and I think Euro 2016 will be Del Bosque's last hurrah. By that time, I think Pep will have done all he could do with Bayern and will want a new challenge.

If Pep ever returns, it won't be for at least another 5 years I'd say. Which would be fine by me, Halilovic will be around 22 roughly and he can make him into Messi 2.0.

If Lopetegui does well at Porto, he'd be in a good position to take over from Del Bosque, especially because he knows all of the youngsters who will soon play for the senior side.

Did he say (on the book) tha he hates tiki-taka?
Yes, he did.

He also says that:

“Possession of the ball is only a tool with which to organise yourself and cause disorganisation in your opponent. If there isn’t a sequence of 15 previous passes, a good transition between attack and defence is impossible. Impossible.”

“It isn’t true that I left because [then president Sandro] Rosell didn’t support me in rebuilding the squad. I was at my limit of exhaustion and I wasn’t sure at all about what options I could offer the team. I didn’t ask to rebuild the squad, because I was the one who had decided to leave.”

“The way the club is organised, there are only two options: either you’re the power or you aren’t the power. And, against my wishes, I have been forced to pick sides.”

“The 4-0 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League is my biggest cock-up as a coach.”

He refused a handshake with the MLS all stars coach after the game because of a few somewhat rough tackles on his players. Pep is usually a very classy and respectable guy but he let his ego get the better of himself there. I can understand his irritation but that's no excuse to let go of sportsmanship

After losing the game vs the MLS all stars, pep slagged off all the refs and refused to shake hands with his opposite coach. I can understand that he didn't like the kind of tackles in the match but he really made himself look bad, all the commentators were criticizing him because based on "peps standards" he really fell way below. Sigh.

Very pathetic for Guardiola to behave like this.

Poor Caleb Porter was trying to shake hands with ANY Bayern staff and got turned down. He even chased Guardiola to the center of the pitch trying to shake hands with him to no avail.

Pathetic.

Agreed. big props to Caleb porter for literally chasing them to shake hands. He was even apologising to pep after every bad challenge lol.

I agree. I fully sympathize that Pep probably didn't even want to play that game and that he was likely forced to play the unfit WC winners just to fulfill some sort of publicity quota (and ultimately one of them got injured as a result).

Still, the MLS all star coach wasn't at fault for that and Pep still has to show respect to someone who was constantly apologizing for the bad tackles and viewed Pep as an idol. I don't like what Pep did and when he cools down I doubt he'll be very happy with himself either. Pep shook hands with dirty bastards like Mourinho who purposely created volatile situations and conflicts during games. Caleb Porter wasn't nearly at that level.

I feel bad for Porter. He just wanted a handshake from any one of the Bayern staff. Porter's said so many times that Pep and Pep's work at Barca are things he idolizes. And to get rebuffed by your own idol like that? That's got to hurt.
