I'd love to see him at United next season. Would be the first time in years to look forward to seeing them play. The way they've been performing is far away from the values United represented for several decades.

Not sure if Mourinho would be the right choice for them to be honest. He's a great man manager (although he fucked it up at Chelsea this season) and most of his players love him, but I feel like United needs and deserves a manager who brings back excitement to Old Trafford. Their football has become so boring and even unwatchable at times. Now imagine being a lifelong United supporter. Must be difficult to endure such atrocious displays week after week.

Mourinho would be able to get them on a better level again but I believe that Pep can bring excitement, joy and loyalty back to the team. That's probably more important than anything right now.

Makes sense for him to go to Man City really.

If he goes to Man Utd there is little he could do that has not been done before under Fergie other than maybe back to back CL but that is a huge ask.

At City back to back leagues, a treble going further in CL are all things they have never achieved.

Dont really like the fact he is going there as it is the easiest job available and gives some legitimacy to them as a big club in the world now but it is his choice.

Wont be cheering him on at all at City. Arsenal for me are the ones who deserve most respect there.

I love that we continued to be successful after he left, when many said we wouldn't be without a world class manager. Frankly, I'll take a Neymar and Suarez over Pep, Mou, Carlo any day of the week.

I wonder if he will truly return to us one day in a different capacity when he is done with coaching. Perhaps not as long as Barto is still the president?

You can't say "always" as it's only been Bayern for now.
He took over Barca when chips were down. We did have great players but system was breaking. He made everything work to perfection.

If he indeed takes City, it's the easiest route and there's little left that's special about pep. Memories remain though.

pep is a great coach, but im glad barcelona was able to go back to glory without him, or else we would get the endless "barca cant win without guardiola blah blah.

Even at Bayern he agreed to go there before they won the treble and when they had lost the Bundesliga for two consecutive seasons.

He agreed to join them in the 1st half of their treble winning season.

Pep taking over at Bayern was announced in January when Bayern were clear at top of table and quite clearly the best team in the league.

Not saying he chose them as easiest job but it was not like he chose to come and save Bayern after two years of not winning it either.
