Man City would be a big challenge for Pep. They are miles away from winning the CL currently.

Which is why Im so surprised that City seems to have always been his next destination since last season. I guess his relationship with the backroom staff sealed the deal. I'm sure there will be massive revamps in the squad though this summer to make a Pep team.

This is so wrong.
First of all, we see how important Pep was right after he left and everything crumbled.

You do not know how the team would have performed with him. He told that he did not reach the team anymore - or not that good anymore - in his fourth season. It is just normal that a team that was so successful will somewhen have a time in which the hunger on titles and success is not so high and you do not go the extra metres - especially as it was the season after the EUROs where a lot of the Barcelona players were successful in.

Sportbild tells today that there has been controversies about the transfers. Letting Kroos go and that he did not get a lot of players from his wish list. If this is one of the reasons I am fine with the outcome - the players Bayern got match incredibly good and were absolute bargains whereas the ones they did not get aren't better but would have cost a lot more - and might have cost us players who are the identity of the club. The club is bigger than any coach or system. If he goes to City he will not have such problems...

he will have full control in regards to all important stuff (transfers, medical etc.)

I honestly wouldn't want him back here. As much as we can romanticise about the idea of Pep back in the Camp Nou coaching seat, the reality is that the risk of failure would be huge, his first tenure taken into account.

I'd rather not risk the legacy of those unbeatable years being tainted by a potential bad second spell. For me, Pep's time at Barça is over - at least as a coach.

Never know with coaches, I think he himself doesn't want to come back to leave his legacy in tact. But you just never know. Mou went back to Chelsea ;P

The Legacy that Mou had with Chelsea before coming back is incomparable with what Pep had with us.

What I don't understand about Pep is, why the hell would he leave Bayern where he is loved by the players, fans, board and most importantly he's bound to win a Champions League with them within the next 2 or 3 years. I'm pretty sure they have a big chance of winning it every year from now. Leaving them at the end of this season is like "unfinished business". I thought he was there for a challenge? Why not win UCL with Bayern first before moving to a lesser club like City? It's like he is blowing the chance to make his resume better by winning UCL. I just don't get it.

Pep seem like a coach who believe he can't be in one club for so long . I doubt he will ever coach a team more than he did with Barca
At least while he is still the top name between coaches
