Pep has never claimed to be a miracle worker taking struggling sides out of their misery and turning them into Champions.

So personally I just cannot understand why so many people are fixated with his career choices. He's a part of Barca history, as player and coach, and that's it. People should move on. The only reason I can see people being so annoyed with him not taking up a challenge is because they're still bitter at his departure and him becoming a rival, a competitor to Barca with his new teams. The worst is probably people calling him an enemy lmao.

If people consider rivals or competitors as enemies then god save them as they'll be making a lot of enemies in their professional and personal lives. One fucked up way of viewing the World IMO.

I don't wish the bald man bad, or a lot of success in UEFA competitions. Everything else he does in the EPL or their cups I couldn't care less about as it'll not be as a competitor to Barca.

I mean really...who gives a fuck about which team he manages unless you're a fan of that said club or other clubs he could've been at.

When will people start to tell Pep which underwear he should buy?

Let the man make his own decisions.

To be entirely honest, I'm a little disappointed he picked City. The vast majority of the season is comprised of league matches and going and signing with the richest and biggest favorites really doesn't do him too many favours in my book. Apparently, both United and Chelsea contacted him when news broke out that he was negotiating with City. I think either of those two clubs would have provided a bigger challenge, while at the same time not handicapping him like signing for Accrington Stanley would.

I think Txiki and Soriano being at city helped a lot. Not sure how much is this article accurate, but it makes a bit of sense.

I'm not that 'disappointed'. City will be more challenging than Bayern--in Bavaria, he could have won the Bundesliga, the German Cup and perhaps a CL or two until retirement. In England winning the league won't be easy at all, and if he has failed to win in Europe with Bayern, it won't be any easier with City.

In practical terms, then, City will certainly not be easy. In terms of principles, however, there is a case to be made about his choice, considering how he has marketed himself as an admirer of established football cultures.
