IMO Pep is still the best in the world , don't know why he's getting so much hate.

Only reason I would critique him is that he thinks too much. Should have started Rodri and Fernandinho yesterday like wtf ?

People are mad he left Barcelona and still hasn't returned to Barcelona while we're stuck with mediocre managers like Mister, Quique Kasparov and The Koemmander

100% agree and his overthinking has stopped him of winning another cl's. Pep's biggest oppenent is Pep.

His 2000 FIDE rating. should be investigated. He managed the Bayern game like a 300.

Overthinking is just a cute word for mistakes. Any other manager would be hounded for mistakes but pep gets a special status of overthinking.

As for domestic dominance. The season he did the domestic quadruple was brilliant and is a great achievement. First one he won was very god too breaking the records etc. I don't rate very highly this years league he won with city. It was as much to do with opposition not being at it instead of pep being great. Not to mention the difference in transfer spending etc. 1 FA cup isn't great either, in fact quite poor.

Baffles me how we've not had one high profile manager since Pep left.

This is really baffeling stuff, Don and honestly, i dont see us getting a top class in the next years. Pep/Tuchel/Klopp/Flick/ are probably the top coaches now. All of them are booked. Maybe Klopp will be free in 2-3 years. Otherwise it will be very hard. My favourites at the moment are the Lille coach and Bielsa.

Galtier is taking over Nice and Bielsa is never going to take up the job for a top team.

I am sorry, but you cannot compare winning the PL to winning LL. Pep has dominated the best league in the world, not once, but three times.

True. Barca competes with consistently good to great sides like Real and Atletico which maintain their level throughout the season. Pep's biggest opponents were Solskjaer's United, Liverpool which spent most of the season in the middle of the table, and Chelsea which had their manager sacked.

86p in PL is OK.
A final can always go either way, this time Pep lost.
Whether they lost because of his mistakes or not, his tactics guaranteed lazy analysts would blame him if they would lose.

If he'd have won then it would have been down to his greatness right? He played an XI without two players Rodri/Fernandinho, one of these two have started almost every game this year. Man City have won most games this year, they didn't win this one. Safe to say making this decision at the very least was a tactical mistake.

Edit: Also played Sterling who's in worse form than Dembele was for the last 10 games.
