Pep Guardiola

Question, you might want City to beat us every day of the week, which i get.

Do you really want another oil club to win their first UCL just cause of your connection to Pep though?

I mean, Inter likely get smashed so doesn't matter, but if you could pick, is it really City?

He said he joined Bayern only because they are historic club with sound business model. Then goes on to join some club a sheikh picked up from trash.

Says he couldn't stay at one club more than 3-4 years. Said Lahm is smartest player he coached. Says Bielsa is greatest manager. Says all kinds of shit really but to be fair does look fake when he says them so he obviously lies. Which again excuses him as he is a saint.

He lies diplomatically, or for diplomatic reasons.
It should be fairly evident that "I can't stay at one club more than 3-4 years" is a line that doesn't make football sense in this world. Some don't get why. Hopefully now everyone does, seeing him having stayed 7 years going to 10 at City.

But, how else can he openly say that the idiots running the club are undermining him and not going to give him full trust and support to do what he wants to do with squad and everything

It's not an accident that he stayed 7, soon to be 10 in a club that had Txiki and Soriano, the very same people he worked with under Laporta.
Yes, and some still believe that he got 'burnt out' after 4 years of the best generation of players ever under the very same people that blindly trust him and work for him to this very day

:ROFLMAO:

The idiots that were in charge after Laporta & those guys left definitely played a part in him leaving, not the only reason but it played apart.

Going from working with the likes of Laporta, Txiki & soriano, to rosell & bartomeau, is a massive step down.

Although they're those here who legitimately said Txiki wasn't great or did anything special 🤣🤣🤣.

He was burnt out......from Rosell's shitshow leadership.

Sandro Rosell was hell bent on burning everything from the former board to try to shape Barca his own way even if it meant the club getting worse in the long-term which it did.

You should let the bitterness go - you did similar with Laporta after his 1st tenure

He has only ever expressed his love for the club and has always meant what he said - including eventually returning to coach youth which would be a perfect way to go

He is not.

He had success with us for few years with great generation but should've done much more.

With Bayern - did what anybody else did.

And Pellegrini/Mancini did the same with $ity with significantly less cash and stronger competition, so...
Except he set up Bayern to dominate in a way they never have before. Done the same with Barca and now with City.

Yeah, before he came Bayern didn't Dominate.... 🙄

We had great generation and anybody would win trophyz with it.

This season in PL he had worse Competition ever: lousy Liverpool, weak UTD, pathetic Chelsea, ridiculous Tot'nam... his only Competitor was fucking Arsenal - let that sink in. And people are, like, WOW.

If he fails in Finale, he is not significantly better than Pellegrini/Mancini. Period. Results are clear. He spent half a Billion just on defensive line, not to mention other parts!

Imo he's 90+% likely to repeat the triple, will he become Pep Goatiola of coaches if he manage to do it?

If you are just basing your opinion on results only, then there is a lot you say that can be agreed upon. But analysing greatness is much more nuanced than that.

What makes Pep so much better than everyone else? It's the way he makes his teams play. It's the way he evolves and re-invents himself. It's the way he plays 4 centre backs who provide zero attacking threat and yet his team is the best attacking team on the planet. It's the fact that he even tries to play 4 centre backs, inverted full backs playing as CDMs, false 9s and goalkeeper playing out from the back like he did 15 years. It's the fact that many of these things get picked up upon and copied, becoming the go-to tactic across football, years after.

Pep's City have two wingers who don't score many goals and are slow. It shouldn't work. But it does, because of him. Would his team be even better with fast goalscoring wingers in the mould of Mane/ Salah? Probably. But he does without that and will still come up with a treble.

But what is perhaps most impress is is how much his football has changed over the years. Most managers throughout their career have a style and they stick to it. Peps tiki taka at Barca has evolved into a Man City team that can score against you in numerous different ways.

The first half hour on Wednesday was pretty much getting the ball out wide to wingers and crossing to EH and yet at the start of the season they were saying he wouldn't be able to make a pure number 9 work in his team.

Fake news.

Coaches dont last long at Barca and Pep had won it all and was worn out.

He also had issues with Laporta talking too much as well as not always seeing eye to eye with Rossel.

Numpties here thinking Pep couldnt handle not working with Soranio... Soriano left before Pep managed his fist official Barca game with first team.

Soriano was infact another one who resigned from Laportas board as did not like way being led but dont let truth get in way of a good story.

Usual Jamrock bumping gums on things has no idea about.

It's not just Results. It's the Resources, too. It's: how much you do with little.

Like, it's easy for him to fuck around, mix, try this or that... when he can afford it! Guy spends Billion $ and his team plays attractively? Wow. I remember Spalletti in, like 2007. , playing Totti as false 9, playing without attacker, etc... imagine if somebody gave him 1 Billion? He won the Calcio with average Napoli and played CL Semifinals! And what Praise did he got? That is much harder than what Pep does.

Ten Haag destroyed Real on Bernabeu, almost reached the CL Final and Tripletta. Eddie How's Newcastle playing beautiful football with average players, I hate Mou but what he did with weak Porto and retirement house of Inter is glorious, ...

I have nothing against him, I like him because he is managing Revolutionary. But, he is overhyped to the moon. With money he got and conditions he has he should rule the football world...
