Perisic, a dude who scored a goal in World cup semis and a goal in WC finals, which is 100 times more than some GOAT players in their WC career?

https://youtu.be/IPU2hI2UEmw

A dude who is tall, fast, has stamina, can defend and can score aka a very good fit for Bayern's type of football?

Look, maybe Cou is a crap, but being a 12 man at Bayern and being benched by Perisic aren't proofs of being a bad player.

Perisic is miles better winger than any winger at Barca since MSN days.
Dembele included, lol.

mmm. not at all: Peresic is a good player 7,5 Dembele a potential crack 9

Do you ask why Couthino did not well till now at Barca?
For the same reason as Griezmann:
crazy to have bought them having already Messi in the team (They occupy large portions of the field in common with the Argentine and have to adapt to coexist with him).
Obviously, the current Messi (2021) is still better than both Cou and Griz for me

Hey.. what's this then?

In the four major European professional soccer leagues, Fu?ball-Bundesliga (Germany), Premier League (England), Serie A (Italy), and La Liga (Spain), most players are between 21 and 29 years old, and a substantial drop-off is observed at around the age of 29 years

Still..
He was 25.5 when transferred in.
He was 26 at the summer of 2018 when the supposed 'decline' started.

Does not make any sense

Why do you think Coutinho is not 30 so he is still in his prime???

Ronaldinho, dozen times better than prime Coutinho, one of most gifted player ever, declined at 26 and at 27 he was finished at Barca.

Coutinho is not that lazy but he, like Ronaldinho, just lost his spark. He can still good but not as his peak (liverpool days). His games at Bayern and post WC2018 Brazil show it.

Ronaldinho more or less gave up trying to be a top pro in favour of party lifestyle.

Cant compare the two really.

He was never a great assistant and if you look at the goal/xG stats at understat.com and look at the locations of his goals you see that he just overperformed his XG massively in that time (last year at Liverpool, first half year at Barca) as he had a lot of self confidence - it might even have to do with the different systems of the team - that Liverpool team was more working on the break.

At Bayern - because of the tricks that Coutinho played in the training and the hype around the player (...for sure it was just Barcelona that played him wrong....look at the transfer sum he generated....at Barcelona everything is cut out for Messi... Lewy will break Gerd M?llers record with such a good provider...) Kovac played Coutinho over M?ller and that finally was his downfall - and that was somehow heaven sent. Playing M?ller again behind Lewy with some freedom (not like today but more than he had on the wing and not too deep where he is less helpful) saved Kovac the season before when we weren't functioning at the beginning of his reign.

What do you mean by 'assistant'?

At Liverpool in league the final three seasons he was top for expected assists of those that played regularly.

Look man, I don't know if you realize that you are making yourself look like a fool with your reply.
I said 30-32 based on my observation, you replied with 29. Fine, let's say it's 29.
STILL, it does not address the case for the reasons mentioned (Cou being much younger when coming in)
(That's why i said still. It was pretty obvious)

If you want to say something meaningful, please do.
Otherwise, If you wanna just playing around, thanks but no

Not if you look at understat.com - there were 1 to 3 better than him.
He had an xA of 6.26 in 2016/17, 5.29 in 15/16 and 5.53 in 14/15.
In the league he had 2 to 7 assists in all seasons besides in 17/18 when it was 11 - and he had assists from corners and freekicks, too. For a creative player that on a 10 or a "left 10" that really is not great.

I just want you to admit you pulled some numbers out of your ass to support your opinion, but it's an impossible task. You just want to be right all the time.
You can just accept that other people don't believe Coutinho was ever that good and move on. But you go to lengths to prove that something else is hindering him.
I don't get why. No one cares about him in Barca.

preach it. They care about Coutinho because there's less and less to hate on Messi for recently (better performances, more closing down, being more of a leader, better results) which is the real thing going on here. It's clutching at straws to blame Messi for things so they can support the argument he's the problem of barca after statements like "Messi is a cunt", "Messi is the cancer of Barcelona". Rather than being an adult and admitting they're wrong on some things. It's 2+2 = fish.

If Coutinho plays well in the next few weeks, I can 100% see myself saying so and admitting he played well, same for you and a few of his detractors. You would never get that kind of thing back though (tbf serghei has said positive things about Messi recently but also 5 times more theories and rumour based stuff too). Unfortunately for people like bbz, birdy and others being perceived to be right matters more than actually being right so any conversation is useless.

Not at all. I don't care what people think of me. I must be one of the most hated people here because I defend my argument until it's proven wrong.
If I cared about how people perceived of me, I would be totally different.

And then, you say we never say positive things. I said Messi was fine against Valladolid. OK, let's all admit played wonderfully against Valladolid.
Does that alleviate any of the long-standing issues we have been bringing up? Not at all.

He has been ghost-walking for 4 months and you expect people to take all that criticism back after 1 good display? Sorry, it does not work like that.
If he replicates that display consistently the next 4 months you will see Serghei, BBZ, and all of us now criticizing him, re-considering.
That's the problem with Messi defenders here the last few months. You don't realize when a point has been proven wrong and when not.
