Philippe Coutinho

Lol, if Coutinho is average, than all top teams in Europe are primarily built with average players. Or under average.

It's simple to resume Coutinho at Barca. Top player brought in without any solid plan about how to use him.

Put him in a team like Leipzig, which is top 2 in Germany at the moment, and easily top 10 in Europe, and he'd be one of the 3 best players in that team.

He would flop aswell at Leipzig just as he did at Barca and Bayern.

1-2 season wonder which cost us 150 mil down the drain.

One of the worst transfers ever made.

He did not flop at Bayern, and he'd be the star player in Leipzig's offense.

Last time I checked Leipzig's got Coutinho's kryptonite as well: pressing, and high defensive workrate.

He was Liverpool's best player under the master of pressing Klopp.

Those are your claims remember. He couldn't displace 33 year old Perisic because his defensive workrate wasn't enough...? Excuses too long to keep track of?

He started more games in league than Perisic.

Started same amount in CL prior to injury and even then Perisic is a different type of player if comparing them as LW... Basically he is a winger and Coutinho never has been and never will be.

The period Messi was injured in 18/19 not only Coutinho played better, but Dembele played better, and everyone seemed to have a position on the pitch and a proper structure to be in place.
Just saying..
Not a favorable argumentative route to go to prove that 'Coutinho is shit'

Try sth else..

But it's telling that after so many pages you are still figuring out the way to go about it
Coutinho's decline started the 2018/2019 season because of the above. Not when transferred in at 26.

Coutinho was born June 1992. He was 26 at the beginning of 18/19 season. Too early for a physical decline to kick in.

That's because Odriozola broke Perisic ankle during training.

With exception of first few weeks when they still had hope Coutinho was always at the nottom of the pecking order at Bayern.

As the season progressed he was well below Perisic and Coman, in adition to Muller and Gnabry (obviously).

My Bayern fan roommate would say he could do nothibg except shoot from distance. He was so frustrated with him. I don't know why people are trying to portray it as if he was some success at Bayern. He was useless there.

Coutinho had injuries as well and had started more games before the broken ankle.

Before league stopping in March had started previous three and had started 7 of previous 11 in league.

Doesnt sound like bottom of pecking order

He is not world class and thats what we all want to say.

He was not first option in Bayern, and he is not first option here.

When he plays he is average and really obvious.

That is not what Barca payed for him. If he was world class player he would be starter in Bayern or Barca. Obviously he is not.

.

Our best overall game was Tottenham away. Everyone played well. Then some players didn't keep that level. Coutinho, Arthur, Rakitic to name a few.
