I don't remember people simping so hard for Denis Suarez when he left. When he improved after leaving Barca, the talk was he found his level, but when this flop plays 3 good games, then it was Barcas fault for him not performing. BBZ of all people showing his videos, like its a proof that Barca made a mistake. Where were you when Alexis was destroying the PL after leaving Barca, you still called him a flop, but make excuses for the biggest flop in all of sport history.

The reality is this is his level, he plays good for an average Aston Villa side, and played good for Europa League level Liverpool.

I'm glad he is performing. Maybe someone takes him at seasons end, even for free would be a good deal, just to get rid of his wages, he is more useless for Barca than Arda was.

I don't think that we made a mistake. He can't play/fit here.

My points are:
1. he is still a very good player
2. he can be a key player for teams like Brazil
3. it is an interesting case for the future. Players who can be good at smaller/low pressure teams but absolutely horrible at Barca

He can't play at Barca because of himself. He can't handle his price tag. So you can say his mentality is very weak.

I like Cou but honestly he pretty much passes his best. He won't have a role for Brazil once Neymar plays.

He just doesn't have the mentality for a big club. When he was at Liverpool there wasn't that much pressure. If he went back to Liverpool now he would flop
Fact is he got chance after chance here but still bombed badly. That price tag was too heavy a burden for him to bear.

This, he also sucked at Bayern; rotation player at best

Wasn't a rotation player
First choice since Flick came in (and Kovac before him) all league long until March lockdown in 2020 then had ankle problems and came off the bench

Cou was very good in both his Barca starts (his return from Bayern being the 2nd) until he got injured. He is having another great start. Let's hope it isn't another temporary high.

I think he will maintain it and we will get some form of transfer fee this time. Barcelona can have a toxic culture which can eat you up. While it seems Villa is putting him on a pedestal and has a manager which completely trusts in him. Big difference.

I think i should know this things since I am a Bayern fan; he was a rotation player, he started 15 games for us mostly under Kovac, under Flick he started only against lower level opposition when Muller was rested

After Flick came in he only was once in the starting formation for the CL - group match no. 6 when Bayern already was qualified... He did not start against Leipzig, Dortmund, Gladbach or Leverkusen. He had some starts in midfield on the side of M?ller when only one of Thiago/Goretzka/Kimmich was available (or Kimmich had to play fullback because we had problems a lot injury problems in the back four).

The Corona crisis came handy because of all the injuries in that season.

Coutinhos numbers in the season where not that bad - and he got some match time because of problems in the squad. But who really watched the matches knows.

Yeah so a starter. Considering there's 16 low level teams in Bundesliga and he started most games against them

No. A player that is winger no. 5 (after Coman, Gnabry, Perisic, Costa) and midfielder no. 6 (after Kimmich, M?ller, Thiago, Goretzka, Tolisso) you sure cannot call a starter - even when he gets starts because of the injury situation...

you do know they play home and away, so thats 34 games; he did start a lot of games at the start of the season cause Muller and Kovac didnt get along, with Flick Muller was back; in conclusion looking back he was an average rotation player for us, not bad not very good, a player that Bayern would pay about 7M a season

Yeah, solid. Said he's decent to start with
Player that can do well and hold his own in a very good team + generally that happened outside Barcelona.

So we will get some money for him in summer this is good

it sounds too good to be true

he'll probably go back to his old self and be shit , score the occasionally 1 in 10 games goal where he'll do the put your fingers in your ears celebration for whatever reason and in the end come back to Barca.

but one man can dream.
