He's been found out.

He was exposed for me midway through last season. Was always against a loan move and rightly wanted to ship him off to the highest bidder regardless of the loss we would have had to incur. I would have taken even 65-75m. Barto, like usual could not swallow his pride and cut his losses however, so here we are.

I agree, but he did have a honeymoon period for Bayern as well with some goals scored. Been atrocious lately, which seems to be his usual state now.

why is he doing well in the Brazil NT? I am quite sure that he needs a friendly environment with supportive fans. He got that in Liverpool and at Barça in his first year. A good coach could possibly put him back on track.

De Bruyne is a hybrid eight ten.

In modern football you can't carry players anymore. Messi is a classic ten and we're having problems in cl.

More accurately, Messi is a classic Alien.

Common wisdom does not apply :alien:

That argument he's The prob just doesn't fly. Come CL crunch time, you'll be happy he's on our side, trust me

I'm afraid he will be sold anyway. The board cut down his asking price for 120M to 90M.

Loaning him out was a huge mistake. If 6 months ago you could have still pretended that "Barca doesn't know how to use him, will shine elsewhere without Messi, in a different style", you can't now. He has now failed in another team in the easiest possible top league under 2 other managers as well. I struggle to see how anyone would even pay 50 million for him.

Will go down the "eternal loan until contract runs out" route.

With the pressing etc. all over the pitch it is not the easiest league for him. Especially not at Bayern with their ball possession. As you saw with Messi and Suarez he is not that big assistant near the box, not comparable to Messi, KdB, Müller, James or Özil when he still was performing. His instinct near the box is head down and trying to get a shot. I do not really think that was so different at Liverpool or is with the Brazilian national team. When you look into the stats Suarez, Messi, Firminio, Salah, Lewandowski and Mane all have atleast as many assists for him as he has for them.

90M would be a steal - for Barcelona.

With a salary of 25M hardly any club can afford him. Given the fact that he is benched by Bayern no one will be willing to pay his salary and a fee of 90M. Loaning him to Bayern was good for the club short-term (saving his salary and probably some variable costs to Liverpool), but didn't do any favor when it comes to the development of his market value. If they don't believe in reviving Coutinho in Barcelona they'll have to make a massive cut or he'll end up like Arda with Barcelona probably even paying part of his salary.
Club needs to stop paying these amounts of money to players. Ridiculous.

If by some miracle he ends up staying at Bayern, he'll be crying about wanting to leave Bavaria 6 months into next season.

Who could have ever dreamed this guy to be such a goddamn diva and get totally exposed at top level football.

Bayern are not going to want him.

Most likely PSG, City or Chelsea in my opinion.

Can see a scenario where PSG push for Coutinho and Griezmann for Neymar.

Although can also see Inter fancying Griezmann as part of any Lautaro deal.

There will be more clubs in for those players than some think.

Why would PSG push for 2 players who are having disappointing seasons for their best player ? Neymar pushing to leave, yes. But PSG pushing ? That is nonsense.

And, for the record, Ligue 1 players, especially the attackers, are generally having fun in Bundesliga. Haller had fun last seasons, Anthony Modeste was one of the best strikers over there. Diaby and Nkunku who couldn't cut it in PSG are doing great in Bundesliga.

So, if Coutinho is failing in the true powerhouse of Bundesliga, i don't want to see him at PSG.

If Neymar leaves this summer. Mbappe not long behind him most likely and Cavani going.... who is PSGs attacking players?

Di Maria who is soon 33 would be their best attacking player.

Cant see any top player with options wanting to go there.

Lets see.
