If City take their chances I can see a 2-2 or so on Bernabeu. Maybe 3-2 win for Madrid, with the tie wide open for the return leg. The issue with City is that nobody is scared of them on Ettihad. Their home leg advantage is almost non existent.

This is also true for Madrid. Bernabeu is not their fortress anymore, almost every team can come there and get a result.
Wolfe, you are overconfident in this Real. City has all the tools to defeat them. The technique to hold the ball, the intensity. If attackers will be in form, they can hurt them severely.

Agree with this, some people writing City off too easily. It all comes down to which City turns up on the night. City at 80% could cause Madrid serious damage.

And that Madrid are better away while Pep's City are hopelessly shit away in the cups to strong or even mediocre teams.

16/17
CL - @ Steaua (5:0), Celtic (3:3), Barcelona (0:4), Monchengladbach (1:1) & boinked by Monaco (1:3)
FA Cup - West Ham (5:0), Palace (3:0), Huddersfield (0:0), Middlesbrough (2:0) & out to Arsenal after ET and Sanchez goal

17/18
@ Feyenoord (4:0), Napoli (4:2), Shakhtar (1:2), Basel (4:0) & out to Liverpool at Anfield (0:3)
FA Cup - Cardiff (2:0) & out to League One Wigan (0:1)

18/19
@ Hoffenheim (2:1), Shakhtar (3:0), Lyon (2:2), scraped past Schalke (3:2) & out to Spurs on their own ground (0:1)
FA Cup - Newport County (4:1), Swansea (3:2), also played Rotherham (7:0), Brighton (1:0) at home and Watford at Wembley (6:0) to win the cup

19/20
@ Shakhtar (3:0), Atalanta w/goalkeeper lolbanter situation (1:1), Zagreb (4:1)

They're just hopeless against any side that has a smidge of quality on their home ground.

I am really not overconfident. I know who Real are and how shite they are mentally without leaders on the pitch. I've watched it happen. Issue is they are better in that regard under Zidane and provided Fede and Hazard are fit, we will go out on Bernabeu mainly to not lose an away goal and hit them on a break. We're tailor made for that. And they don't have enough to stop a team comfortable on the counter.

Arteta's Arsenal fielding a strong team vs Bielsa's Leeds who are also fielding a strong team (Top of Championship)

Should be a good game.

Leeds are performing at an absolutely exceptional level for a second-tier team so far. Dominating possession, first to almost everything, taking Arsenal apart, but just lacking a bit of cutting edge in the final third.

Nobody's scared of Madrid as well. They are incredibly shaky and prone to fast paced attacks and City can definitely hurt them. Zidane lack tactical nous and still cant rebuild his ageing side. City to win this tie easily.

a) Without Marcelo in the starting lineup only Benzema and captain Ramos are over the age of 30. And Kroos just turned 30. All having a very good season.
b) We’ve conceded sod all from ‘fast paced attacks’ (whatever that means) this season.

No doubt what so ever, Liverpool won't be where we are without klopp. He is the best manager In world football.

If you disagree then I'm afraid you are saying every one of our players are world class. Regardless of our manager. That isn't true.

Pep? Nope. Untill pep takes on inter Milan and turns them into world beaters. He will move on to the next club soon psg or juve.

Klopp will have a statue at anfield, that's how good he is.

And when klopp leaves in 2024, we will drop a couple of levels. I just hope we can win a couple of titles in that time and another CL or 2.

My god is Mendy an average player. City must have the most blunder prone back line in world football. It's a travesty how crap they've recruited.

Great goal by Bernardo. Strange no striker choice by Pep seems to be paying off.

Peak Poonited. Phil Jones still looking for De Bruyne there
