Agree with others about Liverpool, didn't look great and I am not sure they will get back to where they were before with this set of players. Chelsea and City will finish 8 to 10 points ahead of Utd and Liverpool would be my guess based on what I have seen so far.

I am still perplexed at Thiago's sharp decline since going to Liverpool. At Bayern he looked like one of the best creative midfielders in the world, and in Liverpool he immediately became underwhelming and hasn't done anything impressive since. Really sad to see.

He was never a creative player and decided to play for a team that likes to bypass the midfield. Wrong choice.

Surely he was? What else would he be? He's not a ball-winning or a box-to-box midfielder either. He's a deep-lying playmaker imo, one that doesn't necessarily rack up assists but builds the play from the back and transitions defense to attack. Kind of like Xavi, not quite on his level though obviously. But yeah I guess Liverpool is a team that bypasses the midfield, which would somewhat explain it.

Xavi was great at getting assists, also, he was a good ballwinner, he ran all the time.

Yeah I know, that's why I mentioned he wasn't close to Xavi, who was a much more complete midfielder. But I always thought their ''main role'' was kind of similar.

Thiago from liverpool looks like an another thiago. Anyways, we should have kept him instead selling him to bayern.

Thiago had what, two assists for Bayern in his last season? Arthur is a decent example for me regarding his play style (not quality).

Bad take. Most deep lying playmakers do not rack up assists LOL.
Comparing him to Arthur is just awful man.

It's no shame admitting you only watch like 2-3 teams regularly, it means you have a life.
