Barca have definitely signed better than United no one has ever said otherwise dont think.

Barca have much better pull and squad in place prior also but as with every club out there fans will look and see how could have bought better.

Its the nature of the beast.

Bayern/City fans will debate how they can spend money better.. no club immune from that.

3 or 4 of the signing Barca made could be sold next summer to get squad improved. Wouldnt be surprised.

It is an advantage Barca have over most of EPL... not same pressures for short term in league to chase other teams improving for top four, bigger draw and CL set for any signing etc.

The huge money in EPL can go both ways. A lot of money wasted in panic buys to 'improve' team.

The usual reactionary crew at full shift again against ETH. They wanted him to win vs City
LOOOOOL :ROFLMAO:

Listen, what ETH did last season, after receiving a garbage team from Ole is nothing short of impressive.
Problem is they didn't buy well this summer, and with declining central pieces (Varane, Casemiro, Saw, etc) the work of ETH is even more difficult. What they really need is an SD and a new SD structure. If Rattcliffe minority stake takover goes through, Paul Mitchel will be their new SD

Plus, all of you seem to forget that the guy is not coaching in La Liga.
He is coaching in the most difficult and most competitive league in the world, and has to face insane quality managers Pep Klopp Arteta Poch Ange Emery Howe
Wake up and don't judge EPL by LL standards. If Xavi was coaching this Man UTD he would be fighting relegation

Professor OptaBirdy loves doubling down when his picks are sinking.

Dembele is 0 goals, 2 assists in 19 games. ETH is looking like a clueless bum, yet he's frothing to defend them

This fool really listed Poch Ange Howe as insane quality managers  Do you even know what insane quality means? Dominating football + big trophies, if given resources. Otherwise, punching seriously above your weight and beating big teams on the regular for a sustained period. That's basically Pep, Klopp (historically). Arteta is presently a maybe (we need to see him do better under pressure and when he has both EPL and CL to worry about. Emery is also borderline.

Arteta's proven himself although trying to make a miracle out of Havertz was very suspect.

Birdy's right too United would be near bottom table if Xavi were coaching, not that it excuses ETH on a good number of poor choices.

OK, the problem is they didn't buy well this summer but who's fault is that?
When barca flop a transfer its on xavi 100%. at least for this forum.

We tend to hype other managers and players but when they are with barca we scrutinise every single detail.

No, ETH Is by no means far ahead of Xavi. he had a purle patch and got an opportunity to coach a big club. having to go against top managers across the league is surely a challenge. Xavi has other challenges having to do with club philosophy and extreme pressure for success.

Time will tell, but watching united is plainly painful.

Lets be honest guys, this United is uncoachable. Ronaldo was right

“The training ground needed to be more modern and other things needed to change. You could feel the atmosphere at the club wasn’t great. I was very surprised, I was thinking, sometimes, ‘Come on, we are all playing for Manchester United, we should smile every day, of course there is high pressure but you need to be strong to play.’'

You need a guy like Pep or Klopp who revolutionize the whole team/ground/training system

I am with you in blaming ETH for wrong choices, like we do with Xavi.
Like I said maybe a thousand times in here, this is not the work of a coach, but a professional with expertise on the subject. Hence, why SD departments are important and why there are WC SDs out there.
But none of them is in Barcelona or in Manchester

He is far ahead of Xavi, buddy. Sorry, but sometimes you have to accept the truth.
His football with Ajax for 4 seasons, building two different fantastic teams, despite getting raid every summer for his best players, and what he showed last season at United, rejuvenating this mess he inherited from Ole and won against all big 6, makes the difference with Xavi almost chaotic.
Xavi would have never been able to show that.

I think the problem is that everything is being left to the manager in the first place. It should not be his job to sort out the training ground or signings or whatever else is expected of ETH at United. I don't think he's an elite manager, but I don't think he's the prime problem either. If you replace him, you'll end up back where you started.

Don't think people are aware Ajax hadn't won the league the 4 years before he joined. He joined in january and they finished 4 points off top, with his average of points they'd have won the league. Then they won the league every year he was there. Including two domestic doubles and a great ucl run.

Last year they failed to qualify for UCL and are currently bottom of the league.

Yup, some tried to discredit him for his work at Ajax. But the dire state of Ajax since he left made it obvious to everybody
