I think the key is that apart from the obvious managerial ability, it is that he doesn't take himself too seriously. It buys time and trust, but of course winning helps... ALOT. Let's see how he is when he hits the dip.

Now perhaps Liverpool is a way more stable environment than United. But having this kind of start after only signing Chiesa, which was an opportunity signing that hasn't worked out as of yet, incredible. I certainly didn't expect this rapid impact.

He re-invented Gravenberch, which was a fantastic move

The good coach always knows the best position for a skillset he sees.

Slot sees Gravenberch, and immediately knows he is not an 8 or a 10, but a monster ball-retention/recycling 6
