Good win for Forest last night. They're doing well. Their goal prior to the season was likely to survive and they're already virtually halfway there with 16 points after 8 games. Only one loss in nine is very good for a team like Forest - let's see if they can maintain.

Chris Wood is criminally underrated.


Modern Football fans openly show disdain towards players like this and hype up "technical wizards" and utter frauds like Gabriel Jesus and other "technical" strikers and false 9's but this guy just keeps delivering.


I don't care if Chris Wood represents prehistoric, route 1 football but the guy is an amazing targetman and consistently performs for different teams in the toughest league in the world. Give the man his flowers, people!

Yeah I agree. He does really well in that target man role and offering a focal point for Forest to get out, and for crosses. It's not always pretty but he is a good striker and gets the job done often.

To be fair, on occasion he has shown he can play a bit too. I think it was Boxing Day last year he scored two Messi-like goals against Newcastle at St James' Park. I remember watching the game.

He suits how they play well.
