If I'm not mistaken, their unbeaten run currently stands at 33 games. Not too bad. It wouldn't surprise me if PSG advance to the semi-finals in the CL.

Adrien Rabiot, now that's a talented player. Already a better player than Matuidi and should definitely be a consistent starter. Matuidi needs to be dropped. They'll dominate the midfield even more without him.

I think Matuidi is essential as the box to box midfield who can defend and do the dirty work. Rabiot is perhaps more talented, but I think Matuidi is necessary.

Not really, Thiago Motta is a very good defensive midfilder, Verratti is capable of defending as well. Just like Rabiot.

I've seen many examples of PSG playing great football without Matuidi. Even against top teams like Barcelona.

Motta and Verratti tend to be a bit more offensive-minded though. Matuidi is there to clean-up, etc.

I wouldn't say they're more offensive-minded. Motta is the deep lying playmaker after all. Matuidi is usually the one making forward runs off the ball.
I really don't think they need him. There are few examples of a PSG without him but those few examples are not to his advantages.

There's nothing wrong in wanting a hard working box to box player. But he's just not good enough with the ball. Without the ball, he's great, but PSG spend the majority of the time dominating possession and his passing range is too limited for that task. His technique is just awful.

He tends to destroy quite a few counter attacks per game. He constantly slows the game down by not being able to spot, or execute more "difficult" passes. You could argue that it's not his role to play final passes but that's not what I'm trying to say. I'm just saying he needs to be capable of doing it when the circumstances call for it. It's not even always about difficult passes. It's just his decision making with the ball in general that's lacking.

He's a very frustrating player to watch.

It doesn't mean anything.

In France, the French parliament is consisting of the Senate, and the National Assembly.

And the one that has the final say is the National Assembly.

1/ First vote is from the NA.
2/ Second one is from the senate.
3/ Then if the senate rejects it, the NA can revote as a final say.

The Constitution of France also allows many ways to FORCE its way when a government wants a law to pass.

Lately, Hollande and his little friends force their way on everything.

Just yesterday, they forced a vote using something i talked above about the french constitution.

Only the Constitutional Council can stop them, but even so, Hollande elected himself some new members that I believe will just act as pawns when he will really need something.

That said, i believe the CC will make something about that 75% tax. At least i hope.

I heard that he is even trying to enforce the tax on Monaco...

He can't.

Hollande can't force it.

Hollande can just not allow Monaco to enter the french league.

And Monaco, if it happens, will just defect to the Series A in Italy. Rybo doesn't give a sh** about Hollande. So don't worry about Monaco.

Hollande acts like a dictator in France but other countries don't give a sh** about him. Especially Germany.

He's a joke character. Only french people are not laughing because they have to endure him.

That or they just leave France. The amount of french leaving France increased a lot, and continue to increase. And will continue to increase since Hollande is just pulling more taxes from his a-- every semester.

First of all both Monaco and PSG will foot the tax bill of their players if the 75% tax does pass. Hell, PSG already do for many of their top players, I don't know if you guys haven't realized but the top dogs in football move from one club to the other without taking taxes into consideration since they negotiate in terms of net salaries.
Monaco won't play in Italy, they'll foot the bill or lobby enough for the tax exemption to stay. Monaco vs PSG is just too marketable, it's good for the entire league.

L.Blanc has actually CONFIRMED that T.Silva took the decision to enter Marquinhos: "It's good to see players participating in decisions."

Silva, cb and 2nd coach?

Déjà vu

I remember this from last year. Eleven lazy PSG players collapsing against Evian. Just awful.

Jeez, this match was sooooooo boring I turned it off after 10 minutes and just stared on an empty wall, which actually was more interesting than the match...

Genius. What a pass that was! Ibra with a brilliant pass to Silva who scores a tap in. Some very nice football being played at the moment.

Not to seek an excuse but the pitch was horrible. The temperature was chaotic. The ground was like concrete because it was frozen. PSG players were afraid of getting injured and all.

Actually, a match today was just reported to a later date because the pitch was just like how it was at Annecy against Evian.

I still don't understand why the match was at 9PM at Annecy (look where it is on a french map) in december, really. All the other matches were at 7PM, only this one was this late and it was the only one with chaotic conditions.

If Evian was part of the Bundesliga, they would get a fine because their pitch is unplayable in winter, especially in december at 9-10PM and they don't care about it. Actually, they use it as an advantage because they train on it.

Actually, if you say anything against their "fabulous frozen" pitch, they just reply with insulting arguments.

Well, they were the ones who were... not smart enough and voted him into office in the first place, so they are the ones responsible for the mess.
