PSG's owners want to buy Espanyol as a business opportunity and to 'hurt' Bar?a. They want to create a team that will leave Bar?a in the 'shadow of Catalonia'.

? @FootEnEspagne

Nasser Al-Khela?fi has received orders from PSG's owners to buy Espanyol, Bar?a's historic rival in Catalonia.

? @FootEnEspagne

Nasser Al-Khelaifi: "I'm really sure that nobody will allow Super League to happen. We need to think about everyone, not just ourselves. We need to respect the fans."

Nasser Al-Khelaifi: "UEFA have to do something about Bar?a and their levers. If UEFA allow it, other teams will do the same. UEFA have their regulations, we are going to analyse the situation."

Nasser Al-Khelaifi: "The activation of Bar?a's levers is not fair. I'm not sure if it' s legal..."

They want to overshadow Barca the way City did with United.

Damn!!

Would be amusing to see all the forum amigos who were cheering on City in the league and champions league start crying about how football is being ruined and whatnot if a Qatar backed Espanyol becomes the dominant team in Catalonia

Talking of City Group, they submitted a bid to buy Bahia in the Brasileiro the other day. Talk about a vehicle to consume all the Brazilian top talents.

With the infrastructure, network and financial might of City, Pep should really have a few CL's by now.

A Qatari Prince acquired Malaga more than a decade ago, but haven't been able to do shit because it's not possible to pump in money in Spain like in England or France due to La Liga's spending restrictions.

They did well in the CL that season, as far as I can remember. They had a great team.

It can be done, but seems there isn't an economic interest for big spenders to buy a Spanish team. England attracts all these billionaires that eventually get bored or want exposure and buy a club to invest in.

the Wonder of Malaga rescued dortmund in 12/13, otherwise malaga would have played semi-final, crazy team under the architect Manuel pellegrini
