Kris... go to the first page of this thread.. my doubts about Rafa goes back a long way even before he lost the plot

I know man. And yet, should he by some miracle succeed? ;) I just believe in every manager getting the minimum of respect and trust. Even Di Matteo can be a champion.

So glad to see Beast back, love his insightful replies and silent shit- stirring (at times)

Back on topic though, Rafa's biggest challenge will be to leave his ego at the door and not mess up the chemistry in the locker room. Let CR do what CR wants, let the captains do as they please, because if he intervenes I don't think anyone in the RM locker room will respect him.

They didn't even respect Mourinho, who many players consider as their father figures.

Not really, the squad and the players are not the problem. Perez is the sole problem, as long as Rafa dont get on Perez bad side he can do whatever he pleases.

Thanks amigo .. i plead innocence on the silent shit stirring.. your fellow cule's always caught between being sensitive & touchy or drawn into a conspiracy theory where the Illuminati along with Obama, Cameron, Villar & the refs are plotting this uber plan to dominate the world and you are the only thing defending the earth.. meh :)

Sadly Rafa is not that type at all he is the opposite.. he gets involved in everything like Jose without the sweet tongue to seal the deal that's why he gets so many enemies among the players.. lets not forget he managed to make Xabi hates him & i never seen Xabi gets against a manager except Rafa so go figure.. this will be a pure Mexican soap opera this season ...you enjoy the ride and i'll enjoy the endless stock of Valium

the team bench are as effective as the first team for the first time in years... he is doing a very good job so far

... in friendlies ;)

But yeah, news of Real Madrid's death with Benítez in charge were premature.

Do you guys like Bale at #10? Something doesn't sit right with me about that... Free electron and all, getting him ready to take over from Ronaldo in an unrestricted role.. but he doesn't seem the type to take pressure on, seems too rigid to play everywhere too.

Also, all of this "hard pre-season work" is kinda worrying me. We all knew his philosophy, but we all know league management is not his forte.

But hey, Rafa may yet surprise us. As I said when he signed, every manager deserves a minimum of respect. Even Di Matteo is the champion. We'll see how he turns out.

Mou Responds.

But Mourinho said: “The lady is a bit confused, with all respect. I’m not laughing, because her husband went to Chelsea to replace Roberto Di Matteo and he went to Real Madrid and replaced Carlo Ancelotti.

“The only club where her husband replaced me was at Inter Milan, where in six months he destroyed the best team in Europe at the time.

“And for her also to think about me and to speak about me, I think she needs to occupy her time, and if she takes care of her husband’s diet she will have less time to speak about me.”
That last quote though
