That's actually an interesting question razor. RM have tried all the big name managers so eventually, what road can they go down? In terms of credibility and success, you don't get much better than mourinho and ancellotti and yet they have fallen foul of Perez ego.

Missed you too Bojan.. you & few others on here from the old times..

how is everything man ? i hope all is going well & great new design i see as always on top of everything :)

kept to myself lately sticking to twitter as the new cule's are much more touchy than the old school guys so avoided endless fights

Things got busy fast for me since last year. Got married and have a 1 y.o. son. Your family doing good? Still in Egypt?

Yeah, new cules can be very annoying with bunch of gloryhunters and fanboys springing up as Barca rides on this success but I imagine I wasn't the most sensible guy at that age either and I try to keep them in check.
Morten and Max are resident Madridistas now and we generally get along eventhough tensions run high sometimes. But that's normal when it comes to football.
Really wish you'd come back and stay :)

Klopp could be an option but he's not exactly what you could call a "classy" option. Too Metal for Madrid's shiny panties club.

Ah ... worst appointment in history.... it makes no sense at all

Rafa like Capello /Trap /Cuper his achievements belongs to a different decade.. not only he doesn't fit the club style he doesn't have what it takes to deal with superstar
I still fail to see the reasoning.. even from Perez perspective which was always about looks (Del Bosque not appealing enough to the global image ) i don't see how Rafa is any better.. today the press has all the stories about the board asking Rafa to lose weight to avoid being a joke the Spanish fat waiter... !!!

I don't see anyone happy with his appointment except Liverpool fans who treat him as a divine and probably would watch more Real Madrid games than i will next season (as I'm boycotting this farce until he is sacked in January ) to prove to the world how Rafa is god and go on to pressure the owners to get Rafa back to Mereyside

One thing i would point out and i'm a self confessed anti-Rafa all the way ... regarding his time at Inter Milan .. i can't give him all the blame as its customary to have Mourinho team in shambles mental & physical situation after he leave them.. it's like his squeeze everything out of them & leave them dead & mostly unable to accept any manager easily due to the personal bond..which we have seen with Chelsea (under Scolari) & Inter (never recovered since Jose days).. thankfully Carlo was the right appointment & we managed to escape the year after Mourinho along with the backlash he had compared to his Inter & Chelsea "Sons " our Squad ( the shit head Arbeloa aside & in a way Xabi ) never got this Don Mourinho BS

God this season will be a complete nightmare ... Zidane will be on speed dial in January ..

Always so quick to judge man. You'll never change :p

Hmm wouldn't dismiss him out of hand. At the end of the day, RM still have a formidable squad and the line between success and failure between us two is thin. Biggest problem he will have is winning the dressing room but if he does, he has talent at his disposal who will always be there or thereabouts.

I agree. It's not like Madrid will finish 5th next season in La Liga and will be eliminated in the last 16 of the CL. They will finish top 2 in La Liga again most likely, and they will probably be CL candidates as well. I expect them to be better in Copa del Rey also. We'll see.

For the guys on here who are quite new. Beast and I are long time internetland friends, so on twitter I have been teasing him on the appointment of Rafa - which I think he's taken a bit too literally.

I don't want him to do well so that when he is sacked/resigns we can then snap him up afterwards because I/we want him to replace Rodgers. In fact yes I wouldn't mind seeing that happen but not because he is so brilliant but because Brendan is becoming more of a liability as each game passes.

However I/us LFC supporters want Rafa to succeed because he is a Madridista and we all think he deserves this opportunity to showcase his tactical genius at such a big club with that talent within the squad at his disposal. A lot of bullshit has been written about him and the idiots in the media also portray that bullshit so that others believe it is true. So we want him to succeed because the man deserves it.

It's up to each individual Real supporter how they choose to react to his appointment. All I can say to you is how I conveyed my feelings when we hired Roy Hodgson - the man was the antithesis to what the LFC ethos are and seemingly this is what many Real supporters think about Rafa. But even with Hodgson for the first month/six weeks I gave him the opportunity to see if he can integrate himself to the club etc.

So I honestly think Real supporters should at least give Rafa that opportunity. If after six weeks-2 months it all goes downhill then fair enough protest etc.

As for this upcoming season I do see Real doing better in the cups than in the league. But I still think they'll get 2nd place. only because I see Rafa doing much better against Simeone than Ancelotti did (CL final aside of course).

Yes went back & forth spend 2 years in Dubai back again to Egypt .. with the regional office you just hang around the MENA region

Great to know there is more Madridistas here hope they have the stamina hehehe

congratulations on the second treble what an amazing feature.. and now Messi cemented his place as the best ever player too there is no more debate about it.. he was really much more mature this season

Come on i know you consider the man a deity , i'm forced to give him the benefit of the doubt it's not like i can change anything and i hope i'll be dead wrong...and above all i hope i can be able to watch my team under him ... for me Rafa makes Jose a Pep clone.. unlike the people who say he has changed after his time in Napoli i believe that he couldn't play defensively in the land of Serie A because you're playing with the masters there & he was forced to attack but i don't see him capable of handling the dressing room he needs small team mentality clubs to pull it

6 month means January... Zizou better be prepared because i really don't like what Diego Torres suggested this morning.. Jeez

Your opinion has changed dramatically since last year. After the Netherlands game, you said Messi can never come close to Maradona. He's still struggling tbf with Argentina in the Copa America, though it's not all his fault.

But I agree, Messi's change has been sensational and provides hope that he can dominate in any given role and in any formation. I think he's the best club player ever, and possibly the greatest player ever overall. On international level, he's not as good as the very best. I'll leave it up to you to compare him with Maradona because you actually watched him.

I was as you described dramatically impressed how he managed to change his game & come back stronger ...i can't remember a player who managed to do that in his caliber ..
I will always have a soft spot for Maradona no matter who comes out i will still say the golden boy is the best i've ever watched ... but there is no doubt that Messi is indeed the best ever player in history, no matter what i think is the best it's irrelevant

Yes I imagine Maradona is to you what Messi is to me. Even if a better player comes in the future, I'm probably going to prefer Messi to him.
