Rafa Benitez - The Destroyer of Teams

Mourinho lowering his standards again, getting more personal and making fun about the weight of someone. Like a school bully.
Made up with a "funny" comment from one Braca forum user and liked by 5 other Barca forum users.

I wonder if Mourinho's statements would have received the same appreciation in this forum if this "well-fed" older guy from Barca (don't know his name, the guy sitting at 8:40 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmTQoLl6yI0) would have said that Mourinho's teams are always a mess after he leaves - which is objectively true - and Mourinho would have responded by insulting him about his weight.

Because if not..then this behaviour could be classified as hypocritic. Thank God this is not the case.

It just hurts that people laugh about things that would have made their blood boil 5 years ago if the situation would've been exactly the same except the person being attacked. I always thought I like Barca's fanbase and am proud to be part of it because they dislike bad minded people.

You know, being part of the good guys, mes que un club.

Seems like it is just an average football fanbase that doesn't really care about the character of people and likes everything that helps them / hurts their direct rivals, no matter if it's morally good or bad.

Am I just part of some average, opportunistic fanbase? Un club mes?

Not sure if I catch your drift ? what mourinho said was hilarious. And we are all aware he is a classless cunt, It doesn't make much sense to hate him anymore, he is no longer in spain and he is no longer badmouthing barca

To me this sounds like the kid that used to be bullied in school and cried about it every day but at soon as he saw the opportunity to be part of the cool guys he watched and laughed when they bullied someone else because, hey, it's fun and doesn't hurt me, so why not?

Un club mes :(

Edit: It makes very much sense to me to still dislike him. I didn't only dislike him because he said something against Barca, I disliked and still dislike him because he was and still is a classless person.

In all honesty I think Mourinho has matured alot since he left spain, he has given us and Messi credit where it is due, of course many of the things he did and said in the past remain unforgivable, I think he is trying to change. We should recognize this and give him the benefit of the doubt, this latest comment of his seems like a bit of light banter :p

http://www.barcaforum.com/showthread.php/11023-Jose-Mourinho?p=1511280&viewfull=1#post1511280

Edit: To explain it:
1.) He is praising Messi to make Cristiano angry because he is still mad about Cristiano that he wasn't loyal to him until the very end.
2.) He is praising Barca because - he said this in one of his first if not his first press conference back at Chelsea - quote "this is the best team of the last 20-30 years. This makes my achievements in Spain even more special."

Damn, when got thrown out of Chelsea and worked at Inter and Chelsea and Madrid were is potential rivals in the CL he said "Drogba, Cristiano,...they are all divers."
When asked about this statement when he was in Madrid he said "Cristiano doesn't have the attitude of a swimming pool diver". A few years later he brought back Drogba to Chelsea.

Don't you see that he is always opportunistic and never really means what he says? It is always just to benefit his - not his teams - his short term goals.

I don't want to put up a fight with you but it seems so obvious to me that I'd really like to know why you see it different.
Like your discussion style btw, hope to keep on having a good debate with you.

If I could give a thousand likes I would. Mourinho is a vile man. What Rafa's wife said should be taken into context of the interview. She wasn't being serious and was joking around.

Still it rings true that Mourinho is still scarred by his 3 successive semi-finals defeats to Rafa. Having the better team but being tactically out-manouevered on those 3 occasions.

If Mourinho had said that about a non-madrid manager or a previous barca manager the fume on here would still be going.

Matured :lol:. The only reason he isnt bashing Barca is because he wants to coach there one day, trying to steadily erase the bad history. Same reason why he is on good terms with United, he might coach there one day. Liverpool and Arsenal he will never coach, so he trolls them whenever he can. Mourinho hasnt changed, Mourinho is Mourinho.

It wasnt always that he was tactically outplayed, Liverpool also had alot of luck beating them at times. And in CL you need luck sometimes.

Luck? In 360 minutes of CL football they could only score against us once. Lot of luck?

I'll tell you what luck is. Luck is the ref not allowing the Luis Garcia goal, sending off Petr Cech and giving us a penalty. That's luck.
