Rafa Benitez - The Destroyer of Teams

Apparently rafa said he didn't accept criticism because "we are 2 points away from first place. It's true, barça didn't yet play their 16th game"
also denounced a media campaign against Perez, RM and himself, said the media were better in england :lvg::benitez:

Madrid fans are kinda thick.

They are envious of Barca, which I understand as I would be too if the Mancs were getting trebles and winning the CL 3 times in 7 years, but they need to understand that sacking managers because of three losses isn't going to make them compete with Barca.

They need to know that their club is run wrong from the off, this squad is as inbalanced as it gets and even Carlo lost 4-0 to Atletico last year (in fact, he never beat them in a league match), lost to Barca in the Camp Nou, barely went through to the QF in the CL last year (lost 4-3 at home to Schalke). In the months of January and February, the team lost so many points, they allowed Barca to win the league again, after having a nice gap going into the Christmas break.

Did they fix their squad issues? No, Perez decides not to extended Hernandez's loan despite playing excellently, gets rid of Coentrao, leaving only Marcelo as the recognized LB in defense, buys a useless RB in Danilo despite having Carvajal and Arbeloa in there, they recall Casmiero and buy Kovacic (two good moves in the long term) but he believes starting Modric and Kroos is better and they still haven't properly replaced either Ozil or Di Maria despite the latter wanting to return so badly for them after a failed stint with Old Trafford.

The Madrid fans need to know that cheering for Galacticos over actual trophies is what led them in this rut in the first place. They need a good DOF who is not connected to Perez who puts the club's needs first instead of buying unneeded big names. Their academy produce good players, they never end up giving them any chance because they are too concerned with playing the big stars (case in point Morata who was sold to Juve and ended up scoring against Real in the CL and eliminating them, now Madrid wants him back, but he doesn't care). The fact that they are directing their anger towards Rafa instead of Perez (and let's be honest Rafa hasn't been terrific either but it is too early to tell) tells you that they can't see the wood for the trees.

Real fans booing their own coach or players? In other news, sky is still blue. Though I have to say it's embarrasing for Ancelotti to be replaced by shit coach like Benitez. He is average manager for clubs like Napoli. Ancelotti is God for this fat prick.

What is with all the insults towards Benitez? It is not like with players who can make you angry because of their actions on the pitch.
"Fat prick" and all that stuff. Why? I get that he is a bit heavy but it is not like Rafa is obese or something. Childish to make fun of a person's weight anyway. And he seems to be a decent guy, not some kind of arrogant asshole.

As long as he and his team don't become a Mourinho version of Real then he's good in my books. Sure the current tactical disarray of Real benefits us but I still respect the guy.

He is a yes man whose every statements aim to support the delusion that everything is ok for rm.
Last example is how rm is only 2 points away from barça, with one more game played.

Fickle fans. It's not like we're doing much better than RM this season, so their fans should be happy with Benitez. Seems like a nice guy too.

Yeah, 0-4 didn't happen.

Well, it did happen, question is how much it will matter in the end if we continue to drop points against any team that's slightly better than shit. We basically threw those points away in the last minutes against a Valencia side with 11 players missing. Not to mention the collective choke while 2-0 up against Deportivo, and last, today against Espanyol. League isn't won in the big games, but with consistency throughout the season, where we have failed big time in the last weeks or so. Doesn't mean we can't turn it around, though. Got to have some faith.

ThwiX I agree with you. Leagues aren't won on derbies but on "small" games. Luckily for us Real Madrid is also droping points when we drop them. But still only half a season is played and there is still time. Hope we can retain the title and perhaps take another Copa.
