NY is by far the biggest city in the US and one of the most diverse in the world, no big latino population? 27% New York city is population, it doesn't compare to almost half of LA or in Texas, but in absolute numbers there's probably just as many. The only thing where the south and Cali definitely top New York is when it comes to Mexicans, there's still tons of Mexicans but where in other parts of the US latino = Mexican, in New York there's as many Colombians, Puerto Ricans, Dominicans and Central Americans.
Plus Red Bull NY is the only team that could afford him because on the stupid DP slots, and Becks is heading back to Milan anyway. It doesn't matter where he goes, if he decides to enter MLS in semi-retirement the Mexicans will come and treat him like a God. He'd be on the North American cover of FIFA instantly.
Then again those fuckers never put Juan Pablo Angel on the cover..
