Rafinha Alcantara

He looks simply fantastic tonight against Milan. All over the place. Good control, quick distribution, excellent defensive work and some beautiful balls through to Malcom.

Rafa is too good to let go for less than 30 million (and that's with his injury record accounted for, or else it'd be double that, easily).

Wouldn't let him go but with the amount of players they are considering to the midfield it's better to leave and play. But would never sell him for under 35/40 million.

Have Gomez and Denis sold before even thinking about selling Rafinha. It is more important to keep the better player who might get some playing time (say series of injuries) than the extra 10-20 million.

He's just too good to be offloaded like trash, really. I mean, all it'll take is one good season without any major injuries and he'll probably become a top performer. If we don't get a serious offer for him I say we keep him, and just hope he stays healthy enough to help the team in the coming season.

His attitude and loyalty is commendable. Unlike his cocky brother, he's much more humble and has shown a lot patience and always kept his head down- never complained, just waiting for any chance he can get to earn a role in the club.

This one clearly isn't sprinkled with star dust, but he's not a bad player either, and to me it feels wrong to kick him to the curve.

I remember one of his lost seasons was because of a shit tackle by Nainggolan in Roma's lucky draw in the group stages. Always disliked Radja for that one and I will never understand how Roma wasn't down to 10 men. That tackle could have done the same to anyone--just unlucky from Rafinha's point of view.

I say keep Rafinha unless it is a spectacular deal, but sell/loan Gomes for free just to get him out of the locker room. Get a fair price sell Denis, but I don't mind him staying if not a fair price.

Always rooted for him. THE perfect backup player and able to be much more. If you have a squad to win everything, Rafa will be the perfect additional piece. Just needs to avoid injuries. Keep this mofo for ever.

That's the thing isn't it? He is indeed the perfect utility/backup player but he wants to start all games.

I'd personally keep him around forever too but don't think he wants that backup role.

Rafinha? Wants to start all games?

Dunno where I've been the past few years but this is news to me.
