He played well in the champions league too, the only match where he hasnt been quality was the first of the season but he still wasn't bad in the match just wasn't great or spectacular.

I dont agree. It was easier for everyone to do well in your glory days, because you had a working system. In a working system its easier to do well in general.

I would argue that it was easier since he had world class players around him essentially taking any burden from his shoulders. But just looking statistically if you look at their respecitive seasons, Rafinha is likely to beat Thiago on assists in a single season for Thiago's best season.

Some people talk here about Rafinha as if he played 20 consecutive matches. His first couple of matches weren't anything special and in the CL every time he he got a chance he played well same goes for CdR.
