I actually meant that you never thought of Zidane being an asshole on the pitch without considering the fact of what his emotions are capable to change him into. Players are different in and out of the pitch, very few stay the same on and off. Take Zidane's example - a humble guy, behaves like a true, respected legend off the pitch but then stuff like against Saudi Arabia or Italy happens to him just because he got pissed. Take Ronaldo - professional in training, asshole on the pitch. A lot of people might disagree with me, but IMO even Messi, Casillas (that was actually the case) or Raul (there was a video up on youtube too) are capable of foul language and insult to referees or other players.
True.
But I did not consider using foul language and making a clumsy desperate tackles/kick a player in retaliation as one thing. Then again, what you and Jatin say is correct.
Beast, members on here are one of two things:
1. Terrible at widing people up.
2. Actual softies and/or key board worriors with very thin skin.
The list of bad mouthed players from all around Europe is long, and in the history of every body's favorite team there was a legend who was an absolute asshole yet loved.
I liked Ronaldo's reaction in a way, as well as Pepe's reaction to the goal. I miss provocative fans, I miss provocative celebrations, and just oozing emotion. There is a reason why everyone loves Keane, and loved Romario.
Mourinho perhaps is a bit of an ass and is a bit too much but there is no way any one on this forum loves this sport more so than he does or cares for it as much as he does.
Sporting's fans were a bunch of wild animals supporting their team to the fullest, you could see them smiling after they utter curse words.
To me, this is one of my favorite matches I have ever seen, I will always remember it. This is far from the boring atmosphere and I absolutely love it.
Back to Ronaldo's little gesture after he was tackled, Meta is spot on with the description. But first of all, this is a mediteranian thing as well as Middle Eastern, someone does something stupid, something out of line you sarcastically either clap or smile or wave your hands, it is nothing personal or disrespectful. Everyone does it and it rallies up his team mates. Plus, I want to see him get up the way he did like that everytime, its just aggressive and manly.
